It’s not that easy😂 every car has its own level of difficulty and has its differences and similarities, even If it’s a engine replacement or an engine swap, Where you take a engine that didn’t come factory with the car and place and fit it to run like it belongs there. It just depends on your skill and knowledge.

Junk yard Engines are VERY underrated you can get one from a wrecked car & it wouldn’t matter as long as the front isn’t damaged

Donut had a really good video on engine swap levels. For instance, swapping a v6 charger with a hemi would be like level 1 and dropping an LS7 in a passat is level 2-3

Engine swaps on a car that originally came with multiple diffrent types of engines with no electronics is pretty much straight forward. Also, the aftermarket for vintage mustangs is extensive.

don't forget older cars need to reinforce the frame for tons of power. also driveline and axles and need good suspension for a faster car

generic, but youre not wrong. if you want easy, go with a 90s honda. my first few swaps were on those. used a 96 Si (yes we had them in 96 in canada, but it had a d16y8 in it) with a B18a1, engine harness for the y8 modified to work on the b18, and a computer from a 98 integra. 12 hours later it was driving, by modifying the d16 shift linkages, modifying the rear engine/trans mount, and making the drivers side mount of out steel. total cost of swap, $550. my second swap was a 302 ford into a miata, followed by a dodge 440 into a square s10. its all fun and games when you have access to a junkyard. last one i did was a complete AWD and 5 speed 2.0L 1998 Rav4 drivetrain swap into a 98 auto 1.5L toyota tercel. what a beast! also put in a 2.0" suspension lift and some small 15" all terrain tires. would of made a sick rally car if it had a cage and seats, but it was my daily driver lol. that one took a week on and off

If I wanted to swap a Aston Martin V12 into a Honda Accord they’re not going to have any packs available or any way to make it fit. There’s gotta be limits, I just wanna know how far you can take it

Never in my life have I heard someone refer to an ecu and engine harness as a control pack

Sometimes the suspension should be upgraded if you had a v6 to v8 swap but most the time it’s okay and the same with breaks
