How to Do an Instagram Live - Behind The Scenes

Frustrated with not knowing what people will engage with? Oh, I've been there...but then I had a WAKE UP CALL!
I stopped asking myself what people wanted and (instead), let people ask me for answers.
I began my weekly episodes of “Coffee and Conversations” on Instagram (have you seen them?!) simply by going Live and learning what people wanted to know more about.
If you don't know what content to post on Instagram, why not just ask people?
This video walks you through my set-up, process, and mindset to creating a live AMA show on Instagram. (Yes, I just wrote “show” because WHY NOT THIS IS THE INTERNET AND WE CAN MAKE UP THE RULES.) If you have questions about creating follower-focused content, drop them here + I’ll do my best to answer.

Wow, Jasmine you are something else! I came here only cause I'm going on live for the first time with a friend and wanted some tips but I got soooo much from this. Thank you so so very much for your inspirational words! I'm literally like sobbinggg (happy tears!) I have been going live on Facebook for a while and I'm very successful there, so I decided to do it on Instagram and I got muuuch less views and I immediately wanted to quit and stick to FB. Luckily I realized quickly and know now that was silly but this is a big Reminder to zoom out and remember it's a process, thank you!

I download it after going live, Airdrop it from my phone to my laptop, and upload to KZfaq from there

I couldnt share photos while on LIVE . The button to share photo doesnt show up on my phone Samsung Note , but it shows up in my iPad. Anyone knows how to fix that?

The IG feature is still rolling out. It hit apple products first but might not be on samsung yet.

What is the ideal average time one should be live on IG approximately ?

That's up to how comfortable you are and how much your audience likes to see! I'd start it on the smaller side and go live for 5 - 10min and keep building up to 1/2hr or more. Track your engagement throughout and see where your audience starts to drop off, then you can better gauge how long your audience wants you to go live for.

No going live, is like posting a story, you are solely in that system and once you click out of it it'll stop your video. But you could screenshot posts ahead of time if you want to insert them in.

Love your questions! Be consistent every day as far as posting and commenting and then I'll go live once a week both on IG and Facebook. Stay consistent to what day you choose. Timing wise I will do some in the morning and some in the afternoon to make sure I'm hitting everyone's schedules throughout the month.
