It depends upon on the fact that on whose name you want to take APEDA and on whose name you have taken IEC code. IEC code and APEDA both can be taken in the name of either propritership firm or individual person. If you want to take APEDA in the name of propritership firm you must have your IEC code in the name of your propritership firm. For getting the IEC CODE in the name of propritership firm you need to give cancelled cheque in the name of the proprietorship firm. And propritership firm can have current account and not savings account. You can also change the name in IEC if you have earlier taken your IEC in the name of individual. You can do so by modification option in IEC Example, my IEC in the name of KALPESHKUMAR SHAH and then i can apply for modification in the name of Kalp Shah CA classes. Individual and propritership firm are same in the eyes of law. So no separate PAN is allotted to propritership firm. The PAN of individual is the PAN of propritership firm. Legally, all the liabilities of propritership firm are the liabilities of individual. Extra point : Liability of propritership firm and individual are unlimited. Means, if propritership firm goes in loss then individual has to sell even his every personal asset to pay the debt. This is not the case with the company. Liability of shareholders are limited to share capital. Meaning thereby if reliance communication goes in loss Anil won't have to pay anything from his personal Property.

COMPLIANCE UNDER RCMC Every exporter shall furnish quarterly return/details of his exports of different commodities to concerned registering authority. The exporters having APEDA registration mandatorily need to file the monthly export returns. In case of no exports, nil return needs to be filed. It may please be noted that export returns should be filed online with utmost care, as the export returns will subsequently be verified from valid registration cum-membership status online and with CA certified statement of export from the shortlisted exporters for the selection of awardees. Further, export performance of Only APEDA products for the relevant business entities registered under one RCMC (not for the Group of Companies) should be submitted.
