OMG LITERALLY SAME! my hair also naturally curl at the end AND THEY REFUSE TO STRAIGHT. They just keep curling back after just minutes of straightening them. Also hair spray doesn't helps too.

try getting a trim, it's because the ends are thinner (MAYBE damaged, could also be genetics)

I think...it may be a little easier for curling irons. Or not..try searching for styling bangs with curling irons instead
