How to do Multiple Peaks Fitting | Origin | XPS, Raman, PL spectroscopy │Curve Fitting

This tutorial video explains how to do #MultiplePeakFitting using #Origin #PeakAndBaseline tool. This video shows multiple peak fitting of #RamanSpectroscopy data. But, this process can equally be applied for multiple peak fitting of photoluminescence (PL), XPS etc. without very deep understanding.
In a previous video by "Easy Way How To", the basic multiple peak fitting in Originpro 8.5 was shared on KZfaq ( • Multiple Peaks Fitting... . It has become very popular among researchers. Some of the viewers have asked for a similar video with explanations. They have also asked several questions. Hence, with their suggestions, we are sharing this tutorial with explanations and answers to their questions.

I have to find ratio of D/G bands....after fitting peaks like the way you have shown, how it should be calculated .....

Amazing. This video is really helping. You explained it very well and in a very easy way. I'm using Origin Pro8 but unfortunately, Origin Pro8 doesn't have Voigt to fill multiple peaks. Could you please help me how to fit multiple peaks for Voigt using OriginPro8? Thank you in advance.

Doesn't matter. Don't bother. Think about the peaks scientifically. What it can be at best. Use that. You can read the related articles on our site. Search "InSciLab" on Google or any other search.

Dear sir, I need to evaluate the D to G band ratio....should I do peak fitting or directly go for area under curve ? I have just started with learning Raman spectra

Doing individually and then taking ratio would be appropriate, if I understand your aim correctly.

hello I am using origin 2016 and in the multiple peak fitting dialougue there is no box of " number of peaks" can u please help. I tried taging the peaks but it is not working too
