This is perfect! And I honestly dont think they're that "unfair". Real soldiers would find vantage points however they can, and it breaks the tunnel vision mindset of only checking the horizon line for enemy positions. MGs in the current build are VERY easy to spot now and thus their position in these places would only buy them time. Also any officer with binocs can probably spot you from a distance. I use the crane on Carantan all the time. It's not my fault no one thinks to look up. The soldier character model sticks out like a sore thumb up there.

I've got a ton of high vertical points on Carentan.

If you can get up somewhere using the jump prone method, it is legal in competition. Anything that the game programming allows is allowed in competition. I Do hate getting killed by these guys but shit...it is what it is

On carentan I spotted cheaters doing this exploit they bring the panzerschrek and bazookas on the rooftops and if you set up a MG on the roof your pretty hard to spot or shoot cause of a one way bullet wall grenades just bounce off before exploding

Yea all fair the guy lying in a bush is harder to find than the ones peaking on roofs there's spots way more broken on ground level in bushes deep enough u wont see the flash and ur practically invisible unless they are 10 feet away

the devs look out for this kind of thing and their partner streamers/players will report such stuff unfortunately. the devs want no creative freedom or experimentation they want everyone boots on the ground and firmly staying on the ground, which makes for very boring a tedious gameplay imo
