Did you mention the other Limitation on the Elevator? Standard Key is "Y". You have to hold that Button and move the Joystick up. Then the Elevator will move to its Position way faster - allowing a more "aggressive" Pugachev Cobra. On Horizontal safe up to 580 km/h and as a Sideturn even up to 620 km/h. Another Tip: Don't go 100% Thrust all the Time - especially on some Maneuvers. Sometimes you need the Backup on Thrust to "push away". Sorry for bad English!

I think, that su35 Is better(lol). And in dcs, su 27 does not have good missiles like aim 120c, this pretty tricky to fight with american jets at long range(but you can perform stealthy attack). This bird Is really good irl, and in close combat at dcs.

You forget to mention the MiG-29/35 can do it as well. Though I am unsure if thats just the OVT version or all of the 29M's but it is capable of doing it. Also, capable of doing a Cobra maneuver, lands on taxiway XD

You don't turn the switch on and off, you turn the Fly-by-Wire system off and back on.

You my friend just earned your 400th subscriber, great video btw Edit:when i went to go try this out, mine didnt work, the switch was on and i never turned it on also i cant turn it off, but my su27 just climbs straight up and doesnt cobra, any help is appreciated

When I go do this I look down and it shows that the ASC switch is already on by default, so when I try the maneuver the aircraft behaves as if it was off. When I press the S key the same thing happens, it behaves as normal, is there something that I am missing?

Why is my cockpit not animated, I got it form the fc3 DLC are all the cockpits there not animated or is it even possible to do the cobra then because when I press the s key it does not look like anything changed and therefore I just go up instead of doing the cobra pls help.

Go to setting and find an option on the right (i forgot which tab), and change the cockpit language or whatever it is called from native to english

Its not, its just like in the su 27 it turns off the flight restrictions, but since you most like already trimmed after take off the trim will lift the nose up, but i wont do the full cobra for you

i tried at least 10 times now and every single time I end up bleeding way too much speed and my su 27 stalls then falls vertically. Any clue to what I am doing wrong? or did ED patch the cobra out ?

550 kpm acs off full aft deflection IDLE throttle when nose hits 90 degrees acs back on as nose floats down increase throttle gently to full mil. Most of the information in this video is wrong. It does not disengage the fly by wire it engages what would be easiest referee to as a macro that allows the entire plane to act as one brake foul for an instant and then into a +7 aoa lead with wings level. This information is not available readily in English you’d have to be a flanker veteran or an aviation enthusiast to know it. The pugachev in conjunction with sukhoi and kozyrev was designed to put a plane in a defensive 12 6 fight above and behind its pursuer in 3 seconds. The Americans had a pilot doing the “flat plate” against migs over Korea that is what dominated the development of the su27 and MiG 29 wing physics . Flat plating with rudder is a horizontal roll aspect version of the cobra . The hook and the vampire are similarly macrod flight inputs designed for an off aspect roll fight and an inverted vertical fight , both are modeled and viable in dcs WVR but I’m not telling .

That's what happens in real life. The Cobra is a risky and should be used if you're 100% sure you know what you are doing.

I usually get around 80-100fps, depending on the map. This video was recorded in 60 I believe. I have an Intel i5 4690K Processor, and the description says my graphics card is a 270x, but i've switched to an NVidia GeForce GTX 960 FTW Edition

The reply I made a year ago is now outdated. With the 2.5 update I am getting a solid 60 or above with an i5 4690K, 16gb of RAM, 1TB HDD and 1xEVGA GTX 1080 FTW2. My motherboard is an MSI Z97 Gaming 5

@@averageaviationgeek9318 its not possible to do it with the F18 in AC7. Just the F-22 and most Sukhoi planes. It's funny because the cobra looks less realistic in a flight sim like DCS.

@@goreoproductions6955 The F22 has a very difficult time doing it, however it is possible. The Sukhois are more stable in this maneuver than the F22, however.
