I”m super excited today because you have shown and helped my channel to reach over 3,000 subscribers ad that is a really big deal to me. I appreciate you support, I appreciate your comments and really appreciate you sharing my channel with others. I love to see how hula is being shared around the world - even though we are not face to face, we can still share the story and the gift of hula through video, so mahalo for that.
We’re going to be starting on a new hula called, “‘Ulupalakua” which is about the Hawaiian cowboy, or as we say in Hawaii, the paniolo. This is going to be a 5 part video series: we’re gonna break it down with the feet and the hands as always. This song is al in Hawaiian, so I will go ahead and link the English translation for you below. It’s a little bit more of an upbeat hula, but I really think you’re gonna enjoy it.
This is also a universal hula for both men and women, girls and boys, children as well as adults.
So if you’re ready to dive into a new hula with me, let’s get started.
