As someone born and raised in Florida here are a couple of tips I can offer. It definitely helps to keep in mind that Florida is a subtropical climate. It's pretty hot all year round (not just in summer) and it's super humid all year (50% humidity is low for us). It also rains... all the time. A saying we have here is "Hate the weather here? Just wait a minute it'll change." It will rain constantly but it will pass. HYDRATE. PLEASE HYDRATE. It's so humid and you feel like you're swimming in the air so a lot of people don't realize they're dehydrated but they are and then they pass out. I don't care if you feel fine or not, drink your water. Even if you don't like having your hair up bring a hair tie or two with you because when it's 100+ degrees and 90% humidity and your hair is stuck to your neck you'll wish you had a scrunchie.

I will agree 100%! I went in late June and I will say that I was prepared quite well for the weather. I was so happy for myself when the line at Aloha Isle was super long, rain was pouring and I stood in the dry, placed a mobile order and got my Dole Whip in like 2 minutes. Or when I could just pull out my rain coat and my flip flops and didn't get wet. Or just took advantage of almost every iced water service. And girl, same for me with the hair and makeup! My hair was a mess in the first days, so I decided to wear them in a bun, but my make up stayed on fleek. I loved that.

We're Florida residents and usually avoid WDW during the summer, but decided to go last week for a few day and give it a try! We went to the parks for a few hours in the morning and then again in the evening and found it wasn't too bad. Spent the afternoons in our room or resort pool!

My husband I are teachers. We have only EVER been to WDW in August. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I agree with all of your tips!! (And That fan is now in my Amazon cart!)

Bought the fan-they should sponser you! I'm going to WDW in 2 weeks just bc I am missing disney. I know the fan will help. I usually always get a fan from the little shop in Japan/Epcot and use that too and it doubles as a souvineir. Thanks for this video! I have lived in Louisiana my whole like and it is HOT and HUMID BUTTT that Floriday heat is no joke!!!

Can you do one of these videos for the month of December or winter time. I know fl doesn't have a winter but what to expect for that time of year. I booked my trip for the first week in December next year.

I went the first week of Dec a couple years ago. Most of the days, highs were in low 80s, so we wore shorts & tees. Had a front move thru one day, so we wore jeans & long sleeves. Never cold enough for a jacket for us. Also Dec doesn't have as much rain, which is nice.

I know I'm probably a little late to respond to this but one thing I really recommend is Hot Hands. They're little things you can heat up and they stay hot for hours. Keep them in your pockets and they'll help keep you warm. You can find those at any Walgreens or CVS or even Walmart (I recommend Walgreens or CVS over Walmart just because at those two places you can ask an employee where to find them rather than having to search the whole store yourself). Also, dress in layers. The weather is really unpredictable but usually, in December you get summer and winter in the same day. In the morning it'll be really cold and you'll want to wear a jacket and a long sleeve shirt and thick socks and boots but by the time it gets to 1pm it very well might be up to 85+ degrees so wear layers you can easily take on and off to accommodate the weather.

I am planning for my August 2019 trip and found your video. I have never been in summer. I went once in late May and it was unseasonably hot but August is going to be even hotter. I just realized it’s going to rain every day-i knew that, but it didn’t occur to me i would need to plan for shoes that can handle the rain! Thanks. :).

I'm also in Miami and plan on going this July. However I have never been to Disney before . From your experience how brutal was in when you've gone in the summer? The heat can really destroy a trip

We went July 4th week this summer...we usually go during the summer cause the kids are in school but this time we didn’t go to the parks til after 5pm. Still hot but not as bad. And to top it off...I was 6 months pregnant 😂

Watching this 2 years later but still relevant, well, sans Covid. LOL No mention of sunscreen. :( I will not be wearing makeup but definitely sunscreen, waterproof mascara and lip balm with SPF. I enjoyed the video! Update: sorry, I commented too early, you did mention the sunscreen. Duh! LOL and thank you for the pedialyte idea and the fan!!

Stumbled on this for my upcoming trip in July! And I noticed at the beginning when you’re showing your trip the Ariel looks like you tuber Kenzie MacBrown when she was working at Disney! So cool!

I'm going at the end of this month and I'm a little nervous about the weather. I feel like the second she started this video she had this haunted look like, "Why in the name of all that is holy did I go at this time?" That being said, thank you for your down to earth experiences and tips. As much as I wish this was true, Disney can't control the weather :(

I really want to order a PLM pack and go rain jacket but I’m unsure of the size 😬😬😬 is it typically oversized? I have big hips (that don’t lie!! 😂) so I don’t want it to be too small 😫😂
