It's rubbish. It's made me stop playing cos it's just unpleasant. I also constantly face players teaming because they speak Chinese and want to target non Chinese players for some reason. It sucks.

Map hacks are much more powerful than that. In online matches it's extremely important to know what your opponent is doing as early as possible, so you can counter it. For example, with map hacks you can see what your opponent's villagers are collecting- giving you an idea of whether they want two town centers, or to go to Castle Age, or make military units. And if they build a military building you can always choose the counter (Spears against a stable, for example). There's more than this- getting a ton of the sheep, instantly finding vulnerable villagers gathering resources, seeing when they make springalds, etc.. It's a massive, massive advantage.

@@wilhelmcanary-reed7177 Sure; I get the obvious benefits of having god-view. But on top of that, it seems there are benefits like being able to send your troops to attack enemy troops not visible in a way that has your troops follow them across the map just by clicking their hit box
