You should tell people that "Free Office 365" is for developers ONLY, After an initial 90 day period, users will get a reminder and 90 more days (still free). After that, if the user does not use Free Office 365 installed using the method you teach FOR DEVELOPMENT, administrator access, the subscription, and all user data will be deleted by Microsoft. This is critical information users should know and it either wasn't in your video or it wasn't emphasized.

@@maureenobeta7366 Free Office 365 is not permanently free so most users would consider it TRIAL software, not free. To use Free Office 365 BEYOND the trial period, you have to be a software developer and Microsoft must see proof of that. If they do not see that proof, they will delete logon credentials and so block further access. Microsoft send warning emails before disabling access.

@maureenobeta7366 The Free MS office 365 is for developers only. If you fail to prove to Microsoft that you are a developer, the free offer will expire and your access to MS office 365 will be blocked.

There is no Office Free app in Microsoft store. But there is Microsoft 365 (Office) Free. Does this one work?

Update: according to Microsoft licence agreement this is a developer’s licence valid only for 90 days . Licence will be cancelled after that period if no developer activity is detected by Microsoft . Once is cancelled it can not be renewed.

I assume that's the reason for connecting within 30 days. I use Libre Office instead of Microsoft 365 so it doesn't affect me but I wonder how long Microsoft will let this go on if a lot of people do it? The background music is repetitive and annoying.

What happens when there's no option for "Office free" as you indicate at 6:05? Not all of us get that option. Or do different countries behave differently? When I clicked on the "Microsoft 365 (office free)" option, Install, and then "Get", there was no option for sign in. It was either buy Microsoft 365 or get more. And that is where I lost you. Or could it that i had already tried downloading the Microsoft word before? If i have already installed Microsoft 2013, does it interfere with it? I am having problems with office 2013. Should I delete it first? Edited* Finally, allow me say thank you for teaching us. Even in class, we have different sets of learners and some may be having their own issues not to mind this is also a machine we're dealing with. I think I might have allowed different people to temper with my PC and my office 2013 was misbehaving for the past 2 months. Having repeated watching this clip, this time slowly and keenly following your explanations step by step, I got it right. I didn't have to delete office 2013. Now ever time I click on the word document, it works perfectly. No asking for configurations or such stuff each time i am opening a word document. So allow me keep my original comment even though i've edited it severally. It might help another learner with issues as mine. I know I might not be alone. THANK YOU! For that reason, I have subscribed to your channel.

Would have made more sense to start the tutorial from the sign up page, not a bunch of skipped steps then straight to your log in page. Then do the steps from there instead of leaving ppl to figure out what they need to sign up for. Hence are we signing up for the free version, are we signing up for the free trial etc.

Just make sure Jr computer is connected to the Internet before the end of 90days and you are good to go

I got really far then got to a roadblock once I typed in office, shop, then the following error message populated-We are sorry, the page you requested cannot be found. The URL may be misspelled or the page you're looking for is no longer available. So I scrolled down and clicked onto "Developer & IT, App Source, but no ICON to download free office-any thoughts?
