Unbelievably an excellent video. I’ve been searching and your video is so so good. How do you close the top with out a waistband. I just bought a pencil skirt lined that the lining and fabric are simply sewn together with a vent pleat. Can you help? Thank you

Thank you so much…if you don’t want a waistband then you have to use a zipper. And sew the lining separate. I will put this on my list of videos to make

@@drapingclass101Thank you so much for your response. Following your video screen shot by screen shot, my skirt turned out where I sewed the lining, front to front, back each side of the zipper, then at the side seams and lining, leaving one side of the lining open then turning the skirt out. All went well. Although, I had to go back and learn that you graduated the lining hem I believe 1 1/2 “ to the vent. I just purchased a leather skirt that is not graduated but 1 1/2 inch. I hope this makes sense as I would love to send you a picture. Regardless, I have been raving on your video. Your voice, techniques, process is so so good. I went to find a pattern with a lined skirt. Couldn’t find one. Thank goodness for videos and knowledge individual such as yourself. THANK YOU.

Correct me if I am wrong, the zip should be 5 “or 6” from the waist and not the hip. Am very confused by your instruction there. The rest of the tutorial is brilliant! Thanks!

What ever the hip is, sew the zipper 2 to 4 inches down from the hip that so that the person can get in the skirt
