I love the look of shading with markers. I'm obsessed with art markers, so that's probably why, haha! I love all the little details you gave him and his attitude. Two things I feel compelled to point out: 1) That is eyeliner, not mascara. Mascara is the stuff you coat your lashes with ;) 2) The screen left leg is beyond broken. My 3D animation knee vector OCD is kicking in, haha. The knee and foot should always point in the same direction, since the knee is a hinge, not a socket.

The "half gloves" are called arm warmers, and not everyone uses them to hide cuts. They're part function, part fashion.

Definitely not "emo". You definitely got in touch with a gothic and even a punk style for this chibi. Very cute. :)

yeah, as someone stated, i know you did a video on story boarding and comic panels, but it would be awesome to know more about screen tones, how to apply them (digital or non digital) and when to apply them. i have computones and a few books on it, but they can still be quite tricky.

I don't know if this question has been answered but anyway this is my opinion of it. First of all I want to say that "emo" is a music genre that has nothing to do with clothes however the clothes 'connected' to the "emo" style is called fashioncore. The difference between goth and fashioncore has many factors, all don't have to apply though. For example, the goth music is darker and harder then "emo". As far as clothing and style in general fashioncore is more colorfull than goth. If you look at the ones people call emo they usually have different partens and colors on their pants and/or pullovers while goth have more simple patterns and less colors. These things I mentiond here are things I've noticed among my friends since most of them are goth, fashioncore, punk etc. I hope this comment was helpfull and sorry about spelling errors, english is not my native language. :) Love the videos you do, keep doing the great work and thanks for doing it :)

Crill man, so i finally got a chance to hit up barnes and noble and i grabbed mastering manga, now this was like two weeks ago. Im at work today (i work at michaels) and what do i see sitting in fine arts(right by the prismacolors, lol) but mastering manga with mark crilley! I had a mini conniption right there! I could have picked up any day months ago!!! How did i not realize it was in my store!?!?!?
