I'll give this one a go. High time I added a snake in my 'everything goes' sketchbook. Like your hatching style, and have a bunch of fineliners and markers lying around that haven't seen much use lately ( was a bit more into charcoal and graphite lately).

Yeah that's good advice don't be timid just dive right in. myself I'm carving out of brass a guard for a dagger . I'm carving I guess halfway into and out of the guard the cobra. first time I ever carved anything in the brass. Thanks for your help.

I want to thank you for this lesson in drawing snakes. My work is mostly people and some large cats lions and tigers(no bears). I’m working on a drawing of Harrison Ford as Indiana Jones in Raiders of the Lost Ark. The picture is of Indiana when he falls into where the ark is and is surrounded by snakes. The drawing of Indiana is perfect(actually nothing is really perfect). However I was having difficulty with the snakes. I made 4 attempts to make them. Then I saw your lesson and is has made all the difference in the world!!! Again Thank you

hi Iam Scarlett I,am 8 I am doing a protect about cobras my dad is a pro at this he love to draw with my on he spar time . this drawing is just great for my protect the teach said diy and she said the I should have better art than most kids case of my dad but your drawing is the best!

in the elapid family naja is a genus, the elapid family has a lot of Australia's most venomous snakes as well as coral snakes in the US and mambas in Africa
