My favorite dragon is definetly Smaug. I love how he's so big and conceited. He looks really cool. Toothless comes in second place for cuteness. Also thank you for the video! I love drawing dragons and this made it easier.

Neon Pony That is exactly the reason why it is so enjoyable. It has a different point of view. I'm really sick of dragon only being portrayed has stupid, mindless (although sometimes justifiable) or the fancy horses of "dragon riders".

This is really cool. I have always had problems with drawing dragons in a more realistic fashion but when you talked about western dragon being more dinosaur-like it gave me ideas.

I draw dragons alot, normally with my friends. I started drawing them more last year, so from then to now i have a lot more practice. I started on a new dragon project a few days ago. I began watching how to draw dragon videos, so i had an idea of how to draw it. I started drawing yesterday, but i had a hard time making the dragon look the way i wanted it to look. I decided to look for more videos, and found this. I watched it imediatly. Now my dragon is awesome! Thx!

Hey Art Ala Carte, my favourite dragon of all times definately surely positively absoloutley has to be Toothless. Not just because he is everyone else's favourite, but because of his shape, personality, skills, spped, and character role. I have doodled him about a zillion times already, and have drawn him in my sketchbook about 15 times, also using the video that you sent to us to draw him, and i think mine turned out pretty well. I would show you the photo, but I'm on my tablet and i din't know how to... you're AWESOME!!! Also, i love your artwork, you're really funny, and just simply inspiring to me and all your other viewers. I also like the other dragons on How to Train Your Dragon, and I've already seen the How to Train Your Dragon 2 film, - it was AMAZING!!! It's teally sad when... I'm not going to spoil things! Also, i would like it if you drew a female Night Fury dragon, with silvery-white instead of black, blue eyes instead of green, and a pinkish-purple prosthetuc tailfin. Draco from "DragonHeart" is my favourite dragon. He was the first CGI dragon of 90s that I saw and I super fell in love with the idea of a "good hearted" dragon.

My favorite Dragon has to be Blayze from Dragonlance because he has got such a temper as a copper dragon, the attitude, the sarcasm. He's really cool. Thumbs up for Dragonlance, the never ending series of the stories on Krynn.

I'm good at drawing cartoonish things that don't have too much detail. I'm good at drawing lines and shapes and making them into something fairly cool. I'm good at looking at pictures and saying: this is this, that is that, and now I've drawn this. But I can not, CAN NOT draw ANYTHING realistic from memory. Any pointers to help me out? I don't want to be perfect, just a little bit better.

+Ella Sutherland Maybe first start out by looking at realist photos? Drawing body's, faces, scenery, etc. I am not that great at drawing realistically, but it does go way better once you practice! For now, I can't draw from memory either!

I've always been amazed by dragons and have always wanted to draw them! However, I'm used to drawing cartoony cats and dogs, so as you can imagine, drawing realistic dragons is definitely a challenge, since it requires me to sort of stray from my style. This definitely helps with the basics though! Hopefully practicing a lot will help!

nothing but constructive criticism, i have nothing against this wonderful lady of an artist, I'm just giving improvement tips, not hater comments, call me out if i sound too harsh. i admire and envy Valory's art i do not think it's bad just giving some constructive criticisim.
