Years, and years, and years of practice to the point where lines become confident enough to create excellent lines akin to using a ruler. You can see in the zoom that the lines have somewhat of a continuation. He's really consistent too.

the trick to getting perfect straight lines is to put a dot on either end, practice by moving your hand across them without touching the paper with the pencil, then actually drawing the line

If you have a flexible metal ruler. You can bend the ruler and get very accurate lines that follow the curves of the 5-point perspective. If you don't mind holes in your paper you can put tacks in the perspective points to help keep the ruler in place.
