In todays how to draw video i’ll be showing you how to draw a traditional style Japanese Hannya mask, my last Hannya mask was In a new school/ neo-traditional style. This time we’re taking a traditional approach, its a little more difficult and attention to detail is important. Stick with me and lets draw!

In an industry that has seemingly been completely taken over by print and trace, procreate, cut and paste "artists" it is so refreshing to see that there are still those out there that can take a blank sheet of paper a pencil and some pens and actually create. That is ART and you sir are an ARTIST. This is the first video I have seen of yours but certainly will not be the last. Please can you do a video on the design and layout of a Traditional Japanese background, I have seen lots of videos on how to draw dragons and koi's and a lot of other main subjects in the traditional Japanese style but I have never seen a video on the design and layout of the background which is to me what makes traditional Japanese the boldest and most eye catching style of all.

Any local artstore should have it or you can find it on amazon. Liquitex carbon black or ecoline lamp black

Not 100% sure of the brand, its a Japanese brand, most art shops i’ve been to have it in stock. Hope this helps 😊

Hey man thank you very much for watching. I use ecoline markers and a water brush for most of my videos. For the more recent videos i’m using regular water colour brushes and liquitex acrylic ink that i highly recommend. Let me know if you require any additional help

What pens are you using for the marker outline?

They are artline fine liners I believe. But any alcohol based fine liners will work fine!
