you are AMAZING!! as soon as i heard the southern drawl, I knew you'd get right down to business! i read this in my textbook about 10 times and was completely lost. I watched your video ONCE and got it. The struggles of signing up for an in-person class but having the teacher scam me into a "hybrid" is REAL. I'd kill to have you as my stats teacher!

Does the lower class boundary number go on the X -axis?? My stat teacher said the x axis on the ogive graph is the lower class boundary.

That is true. Some stat books do it the way your teacher is telling you. Some books tell you to do it the way I explain in the video. Either way is acceptable. Depends on which stat book you are using. Hope this helps.

For the cumulative frequency, its not necessary to actually add all the frequencies. You can just add the last cumulative frequency to the frequency. For example: CF 66 F 51 117 By the way, thanks for helping me with this, it was REALLY helpful. I subscribed, keep up the good work dude

Not always .5. It is half of the gap between each interval. Notice the gap between each is 1 so that is why it’s .5.

What is the class boundary

Class boundaries are the numbers used to separate classes. The size of the gap between classes is the difference between the upper class limit of one class and the lower class limit of the next class. To find the boundary, you will subtract the upper class limit of the lower class from the lower class limit of the upper class, then divide the answer by 2, and finally add that answer back to the upper class limit of the lower class. We use them to graph a histogram and other charts. You can watch my video on drawing a histogram. That may help you understand it a little more. Ho[e this helps.
