I have gotten used to editing my sketch as I add lineart, but I tend to draw really small/simple with thick lines, so the varying line weight is something I've been trying to figure out how to apply in my art recently :D)

tysm, I’ve always known that the reason why my lineart looks ass in comparison to the sketch is because of how the sketch has varied lines, but today I realized that when watching yours and another artist’s video, I was literally just tracing the sketch. this was very helpful, thank you!

Step one: *have the motivation to draw something that you will be proud of instead of something you will start, get to the line art and half do it before giving up.* trust me it’s not a fun process to have 57 different drawings you haven’t finished bc you just lost motivation.-

I don't know if Kooleen said this but, a little tip : make your sketch a lighter colour. Not just like a grey shade but maybe try light blue etc. It helps you see the lineart more clearly :]

But light blue is like, more saturated it so you can't see it in a white background (but can work in a dark one)

thanks :DD it's the default hard pencil on sai, it's definitely nothing special so u can probably replicate it on any drawing program hehe
