In this video, I'm going to show you the step by step process of how to draw fashion figures using a 9 heads technique. This style of figure drawing is usually used in fashion illustration, fashion design, and fashion sketches. I'm going to go through the lines and proportions I use to make fashion figure, as well as some tips and tricks I've learned along the way. I will be making tutorials for the 10 heads and 11 heads fashion figures as well, so stay tuned for that soon!

Hi! If you’re watching in desktop, there’s an auto translate (into the language you want) button in the captions settings, which you may find helpful. 😊 I’m afraid I’m currently not able or knowledgeable enough to translate the captions into different languages. How do you know where are the shoulders going to be like I made an inch because everything was inch gaping and now the whole figure looks so small.

I usually estimate the width of the shoulders to be as wide as two heads (check out 1:15 in the video for reference). Shoulder line is usually situated halfway between lines 2 and 3 (check out 0:52 for reference). You may have to turn on the captions in order to read the instructions/text. Hope this helps! 💗

How many inches apart are the lines ?

There's no set number, as long as the lines are an equal distance apart from each other. You can turn on the captions in the video settings for more info and explanation about the lines. 😉

I'm not yet that experienced in male fashion figures, but they're usually drawn with different proportions. Will try to make a tutorial in the future, once I'm a bit more experienced! 💕
