‪@BMDPortraits‬shows you how to draw realistic portrait with FCCCP or the Faber Castell Classic Colored Pencil (Part 3, the Hair part). This drawing tutorial is for ultimate beginners in colored pencil portraiture. And the most famous colored pencil brand used by student artists here in the Philippines and maybe in other countries, is the Faber Castell Classic Colored Pencil. Since it is not an artist quality colour pencil, beginners can find it very difficult to use especially if you are aiming to draw realistic portraits. However, this video as well as my other videos on my channel, aims to help struggling young artists and beginners by showing them important tips and techniques on how they can possibly achieve realistic portrait drawings by means of exploring FCCCP or Faber Castell Classic Colored Pencil. Exploring means bringing out the full potential of this cheap, affordable colored pencil by trying to bring out the beauty of its pigments and it ability to layer and blend. This portrait drawing tutorial wish to reach every young and determined artists who dreams of becoming the best portrait artist in the future.

Honestly it's difficult, pero maaga akong nagka polychromos kasi gift lang sakin kaya wala akong masyadong improvement sa FCCP at mas nadalian ako mag adjust sa Polychromos kahit wala pa kong 1 year sa pag aaral ng FCCP. Simula nung humawak ako ng Polychromos tumatak sa isip ko na "ay dapat mas seryosohin ko yung drawing kasi mahal ito, ay dapat mas galingan ko ang pagpractice kasi hindi ko to basta Basta mabibili with my own" kahit nagtatrabaho pa ko sa Jollibee noon.

Vellum board lng talaga struggle. Madulas nga Yung texture Kaya Hindi masyado nagbeblend Yung color Lalo na pag 3 to4 colors na Yung pinagpatong.

Hello, Im currently doing an artwork right now and I tried to look for a way to achieve a smooth skintone with fcccp on vellum board but 'em strugglin' to achieve it, can I use gamsol on vellum board? the GSM of my vellum board is 200. Also I wanna ask, this is my 4th time using fcccp on vellum board with 200 gsm and I just observe that in the eye part, I always do multilayered there, i think I do 5-6 layers, and I just observed, after doing other parts of the face, whenever I preview my work, I always notice the the eye part is turning dusty, so the tendency, I color it again to make it sake it smoother. why does that happen and how to avoid it? Also can you upload the reference you used here at your twitter account please, I wanna try this one :"((

those problems usually happen on regular vellum boards that have no textures or tooth....the pigments are just on the surface.....if the vellum that ur using is too smooth, it wud be very challenging to multi layer, but i wont encourage u to use artist quality vellum papers 4 fccp, coz they are costly, u may use papers at least 160 gsm, with nice fine textures to it, that wud be nice 4 fccp. Gamsol wud not work also if the vellum is too smooth.

u need to adjust ung colors, kasi mas lumalabas ung intensity sa mi tientes dahil sa textures
