You definitely make it look easy. Anyone who drives a little can tell it takes alot of practice to not lose control when it swings back and forth

Practice on gravel road its more forgiving and less snappy so you can get the hang of it, i do it in my work ute and van all the time haha

Haha we take it out a lot. But we always film the how to’a with the r32. I want the car to more similar to what most people would drift. But we’ll get more video of the pro car

typically this technique works really well on wwt roads with low hp :))

Not enough power, if you’re in a stock miata just go out in the wet you’ll be able to get it to slide

Also a Choku-Dori can sometimes be a manji, but it’s literally a Straight-Drift. So the act of sliding as far as possible down a straight, like for an entry. Usually it’s a huge feint to setup so it looks like a big, fast manji. (From what I understand) 🤘🏼💕

@@HaugenRacing Haha awesome, im curious as just started drifting and my wheel is really light and only self steers about halfway to lock and i have to pull it through the rest and its heavy. btw what handbrake setup are you using? Electric? looks like it requires little effort to lock the wheels

@@festa289hes using hydraulic handbrake and ur cae should self steer as long as its RWD and manual you just gotta get the back slide out and control it with gas and wheel

@user-rn5zm8du8b Yea, my car wouldn't do that at the time. It would self steer about halfway then stop, and the car would loop out, even though there was still like 20 degrees of steering available. I would have to add steering input to add angle once the self steer stopped. It was a steering geometry issue 100%. Im on wisefab now, and this issue is gone :)
