My mom insists on teaching me how to drive but, she thinks I know how to drive. I don’t know how and she just yells at me because I don’t know what I’m doing. She recently slapped me because I apparently am being “stupid” and “I’m only acting like I don’t know how because I don’t want to do it”. I want to learn how to drive so I can get as far away from my parents as humanly possible. But I would rather be taught by someone who doesn’t scream at me if I’m hesitant because I’m nervous. And doesn’t fucking hit me because I don’t know what I’m doing.

@@priscillatarble not necessarily driving school for example in my country there are good drivers that are just third party not really a "school" this guys take 80 dollars they start with you from scratch... so what I mean try to find small like group with good driver not really impossible

I am glad I came across this video, cause I’ve asked countless friends and family on teaching me to drive; but they all say “later” for many years.. I am now 26 and still don’t know how to drive, but this video simplified it all very easily to me; I thank you! Gonna try and go for my license!

D well for me I would say that learning to drive with my dad is way better than driving with my mom!!! She literally ended yelling at me because I learnt to drive with both feet first rather than one and gosh I’m driving now with my dad!! And yeah I learnt first to drive with two feet and idk if that will change in the future!!! But i hope so or I’ll end up in the cemetery!!

If you see a yellow light on the traffic light, take the foot off the gas and move it over to break pedal. Listen as the engine downshifts and when you start approaching red light,slowly press on the break. It's a good idea to practice in empty parking lot to get used to your car responding to your breaking. This will teach you how to break softly and will help with preserving your break pads from premature wear and tear.

I got my license last year at 24 after paying for several driving lessons. Didn't get a car or drive, thanks to the pandemic and WFH. Now that I'm vaccinated and "outside is open" I finally got a car but I am not confident in my driving skills and I feel like I need to re-learn.

I got my permit at 16 and I'm now 18 and I'm so scared of driving I never went back. I probably need to tho cuz my permit expired and it's not like I can use it for the rest of my life but I also can't even park a car. So they'd probably fail me if I went since I haven't even been on a road with more than one lane and I needed my license not until I hired a professional test drive professional who helped me in skipping the test and now I have my license

I'm gonna be 24 and still don't have my license because my family always keeps me inside the house. Luckily I applied for jobs to find my way out of this cage. They only taught me to drive i neighborhoods and shame me for not getting a license like my younger cousin who's mom is less strict. I'm tired of it and am tired of my life being drained, I want to take action for my own life and am doing it slowly but believe soon I can at least get my license if I keep it up with studying and practicing but I don’t think I can cos I got a lotta work to do

Got my Ontario license in 1979. (Yeah I'm old now) Back then you just had the one learners permit called the '365'. Had to renew it twice because it took me 2 yrs to pass a road test. However, been accident-free since then. The rules may seem common-sense to you, but there are a lot of morons out there who have to told everything multiple times, using small words. (or so it seems)

Thank you for the video, I am 44 and finally decided to overcome my fear of driving, it's not easy at first but after six hours practice i'm not shaking anymore when i sit behind the wheel, my voice still cracks when i talk and have nervous laughter sometimes but slowly i'm becoming more comfortable, it is an amazing experience that i should have had when i was young but now at my old age it has given me something new to look forward to everyday, i don't actually regret entirely that i miss this for such a long time because now it is happening, thanks for the tips.

I am so thankful, i am 34 and i am used to driving manual cars all my life. Driving an automatic car sounded very daunting for me for so long but you have made it look very simple. I am now confident to drive my wife's automatic car some time soon 😄

@YT User manuals are much cheaper to fix and you don't have to stop to put it in sport mode and neutral. Its already in sports mode! You have full control of the car and it is much more fun. Also, with manual transmissions you can put your car in low gear while downhill. This will slow your car down without using your brake pedal and not wear your brake shoes

Shame that driving school is so expensive that I have to turn to KZfaq. But something is better than nothing, tbh. Also, nice instructions! You're getting me over my small fear of not trusting myself while behind the wheel. I prefer this than my dad stopping on the freeway or my mom pulling over and expecting me to just, go. All the while yelling in my ear. I'm 21 and as much as i want to learn to drive, I don't think throwing your child immediately on the freeway is gonna TEACH them to drive. That's like throwing a 3 year old in a pool and expecting them to know how to swim.

In the mean time study for the theory on driving on the road. Such as rules, how to drive the car and basic car info etc. Once you have the lessons it will sound familiar and that will make you feel a lot more confident in what you do. Well Ghada if you like to learn Automaitc transmission car it’s much easier than manual car and if you are living in city like jeddah so you can go with anyone from your family member to places like osfan etc as there is open area to drive as much as you can without any hussle and I also learnt driving when I came to KSA in 2015 and I am very well with driving now Alhamdulilah 😊 and if you would like to learn driving than I can teach you if you are in Jeddah,cheers 🤞🏽
