I have had my license for just over two years now and I am always looking for ways to improve my driving. One thing I have learned from your videos is that having a little courtesy and patience on the road goes a long way!

I'm a delivery driver and my employer does annual training days. Part of this day is to do a commentary drive, I have to make 45 observations in a minute. Makes you realise how many hazards you analyse whilst driving.

Good driving is like chess in a metal box with wheels. When a Grandmaster moves a piece he normally has at least 2 reasons for doing so, Ashley shows the same rationale when driving.

I know what you mean about BMWs indicators being hypersensitive... most go off so quick you don't even see them come on :)

Ashley; I admire your driving style, thinking ahead is something a lot of drivers don’t do. I think it helps to do a commentary, such as you verbalised, in your head. It helps focus the mind.

Your videos have taught me more in the past month than the last 5 years of driving have taught me. Your videos do an especially excellent job at describing in detail the reasoning behind why things are to be done the way they are.

A pretty long one, but maybe the best one I've seen so far. The information shared in this video is what every driver needs to know about. It shows how driving a car needs all attention of the driver on the road and the surroundings to manage situations and minimize risks and that every distraction increases risks. Driving is the priviledge of sharing the roads with others. Be considerate and be nice to each other. Thanks for this one, Ashley!

Im teaching my mate the basics of driving and do commentary as i'm driving very similar to what youre doing in the vid, he can't believe what i observe and what i think about when i'm driving. great vid Ashley, it should be shown to students all over the country =]

Brilliant video this, I passed in 2000 and the roads are getting worse year after year, especially here in Liverpool! So much to take from this about keeping calm and not getting involved with all the loons!

Great video Ashley. Excellent commentary. As a blue light driver I appreciate the extra thought about leaving room to manoeuvre when stopping at lights, it can be a great help. And I try to wave to most people who show a bit of forethought whilst trying to navigate through traffic, there's always time to be courteous!
