This is a quick and basic intro how to create fast animations for free. In-fact the entire workflow uses free software (So NO excuses my friend). I'll be showing how to create a simple idle animation and how to export your mesh and animation to Blender and Unreal Engine 5. I also show how to add free mocap animation to youR characters. Timestamps down below.

Really is, the basic version is pretty neat. I do still prefer Iclone for animation but this is pretty nice.

Thank you for this tuttorial, geat work! More Cascader! Also you can warp over your animated character and maybe build a coiple of buildings in blender and warp the whole shot with you walking throught this scene 😮🎉

really love watching your videos. love your content! how about making custom anims from a video? like using a phone camera and recording custom anims? could that work? like without having a suit? or can one make a suit? something that can easily be tracked using joint points on a cheap suit as opposed to a full mocap suit with sensors

Thank you! Cascadeur have really in-depth documentation & videos on their site. This is what I used to learn from. This video was originally a bit of an overview but idk what happened ended up being a tutorial haha I’m terrible at trying to create short form content 😂🤣 Accent is British Home counties 👍 But I have lived north of england and South so a terrible mix that no side would claim. Thanks for your comments. Hope to add a bit more to this tutorial🫶

Amazing, just onto their website for guides. But weapons etc are easily added. Walk and run cycle loops can be created quite fast as well 🔥 Good luck with your game 👍

Hello, thanks for the tutorial..it is very helpful. I was wondering if there are differences between Cascadeur and iClone (beyond the price) in term of functionality and final achievement. I'm new to animation process and theory, I don't understand if these two programs are the same think or if one is better than the other? thanks a lot

Both are great tools, because I use character creator ALOT Iclone is a natural next step for me in regards to animating characters. Also Iclone will handle your face animation as well not just body. However, Cascadeur can support many other applications such as Maya/ Max/ cinema 4D and has a great retargeting feature that allows you to animate to characters from various software. I find the work flows quite different too. I would not say one is more intuitive than, just slightly different. Both softwares are updated regularly, cascadeur is subscription and Iclone is one off payment. I’m actually wanting to take dive into Cascadeur as they have released quite a major update. I’m personally more comfortable with Iclone, but that just as I’ve spent a lot of hours with it and love doing all my facial animation in Iclone.

Is it possible to create procedural IK foot animations in cascadeur? Animations, therefore, that take into account the terrain on which they are performed?

Any time I try to rotate my model it says my object doesn't support global rotation. Is there something I may have missed? Just curious thanks

In what program are you referring to? I would say google the program and the error, because like 3 of these programs that she talks about can have that error for different reasons.

Hi Prompt Muse, I didn't know you could use Cascadeur for free..!! Can you rig directly in the free Cascadeur? I think there is no facial rigging in accuRig!

Yes you can use it for free! Main limitations are you can export only 300 frames (most run cycles/ walk are under this amount anyway!) All rigging is free 👍 Number of joints are limited but again i’ve never reached that threshold yet 👍 I think if used commercially you have to buy a license, which makes sense. Accruing currently does not support facial rigging as far as i’m aware. But I use Iclone for that, there is a cost to it but boy it is worth it !

I do it in Character Creator and then export the morphs to blender. Just finishing off the full tutorial :)

my problem is if I do the pose animation then I would need a facial animation, hair and clothes movement, and that`s too difficult and time consuming. Otherwise we can only do robots or so lol

Amazing video! Sadly cascadeur is no longer able to export to FBX in the free plan. A huge fail by the company. No hobbyists can afford $99 a year for the ability to export...

Oh, that is such a shame. Used to be able to do it to a limited amount of frames. I hope they revise that for people just testing the software out as well. For a person like me that goes through so many pieces of software I can’t afford to buy everything so totally rely on free trials having full capability 😭

There a couple of way to do face animation for 3d models. I’ve been using Iclone & using my phone to record expression, but i’m hoping to find an alternative solution. Just making a video at the moment for blender (bit face animation yet ) but have it on the list!

Greetings, Ive searched your channel and can not find a way to use the casdaceur pipeline on a quadruped. donkeys and camels for my current project. I fell in love with this tut and recommended it to my friends and to the local university game department. Also need to add a wheelbarrow to a character and would like to use the AccuRig>Cassadeur>UE5 pipeline.????
