Once again, the supreme boss fight is the "wtf do I do here?" moment of the game

The fact the game tells you none of this shit is beyond me, I can't even target prioritize when Sonic always moves to his giant fucking forehead.

The Quick Cyloop animation for Supreme/The End is pretty interesting. You put him inside two barriers that push vertically to crush him. In general, waiting this out will eventually end with Super Sonic snapping his finger to crush and stun the Titan, but there is a further step to do to make this attack more satisfying. If you attack him during this, you’ll get knocked away and then you have to perfect parry a laser. You MUST parry it or the crush animation will abruptly end (being on Easy helps make the timing less strict). After that, doing Quick Cyloop again will make the two barriers press harder and bring the Titan to the air. Hold off on attacking because he will throw a few shadow orbs at you, and you MUST parry these or the animation will end. After the backhand close-up, he won’t throw any more orbs and you can wait for Super Sonic to snap (you can still do damage but staying away may help you prepare for any surprise attacks just in case). You’ll be rewarded with an even stronger crush that’s suprisingly gory lol.

I knew that I should remove the cord somehow, but I didn't knew that I had to dodge to it's attack point, so I spended 400 rings trying to change altitude or something because the part were the cord is attached to is a little higher than Supreme(the end)'s head.

Coming here after your King Koco Trial video (Thank you again for that!), and honestly I know it was a painfully obvious trope, but I REALLY miss when the other characters used to guide you with their lines by putting notice to important enemy points or calling out what to do. Important battles like BioLizard, Solaris, and Dark Gaia had this. I think the only time it’s overkill is like the Time-Eater in Generations.

Who the hell would figure the cord part out without youtube? No one would be side stepping with super sonic at that part..... also what were they thinking obstructing the view with the forest when you need to parry?

This boss fight is designed very strangely. I mean, the visuals, the hype, the power, it's more Sonic-like than anything that came out in... like 15 years. But the mechanics are confusing, and the hints do not help. First time I fought it, I somehow managed to sever his cord, and even kick off his gun. But then I died. Next time, I tried to sever his core many times, but always failing. Because I didn't know how to do it. The game just said I have to do it... so I guessed that like everything, I need to cyloop it. So I tried slow cyloop, and even quick cyloop. But all it did was to cyloop the entire boss. But unlike the previous Titan bosses, this had no cool effect. The boss just slightly floated in the air, but he got instant retaliation twice and threw me away. And this seems completely automatic. I didn't manage to parry this even once in like 50 tries. So knowing that cyloop make the boss stronger instead of weaker, I kept looking for ways to detach the cord, couldn't find any. Then I watched your video, and found out. You have to attack his face, dodge once, then the focus square shifts to the cord, and THEN you can attack it. How was I supposed to figure that? In the entire game, I never used dodge like re-targeting. Didn't know if works that way. And I didn't know that the cord is not targetable without it. So then I proceeded... and I completely forgot about the gun at that point. So I brought his health to zero, the cord came back, and rinse and repeat. The game told me that I have to do "something else than attacking the boss". Ok, so I flied away, kept floating around the place, and kept looking for whatever I have to do. Kept doing that for several minutes, then died, then another try, again several minutes at this stage flying away, doing"something else than attacking the boss". So I gave up and loaded your video again. And then I remembered that there was a gun. And that I have to cyloop it. I must not cyloop the boss, but I must cyloop the gun. This fight has such a gotcha design to it.

RB AND LB!? Thats what I was missing!? I was stuck on this boss solely cause I didn't know how to target the dumb cord! Everything afterwards, while taking some time, I could figure out.

I was stuck at this boss for 2 hours, I thought I needed to prefect parry something. My last run I was just standing there parrying everything because the hint said something about perfect parry, but no, it was just dodge to the stupid cord

For the first supreme fight, just spam stomp attacks (by pressing x then b) and you’re done. See, even on lvl 1 stats, it’s still pretty powerful.

Omg this ending was amazing. All 6 warriors took a little bit of the burden on themselves this time instead of just Sonic. This felt more like a final boss than the original (even the bullet hell hard mode The End fight in space was pretty weak). This felt like God Sonic and everyone made it out. I thought for sure Sonic would be the one to die this time.

Supreme is pretty straightforward. We also get to fight him in the main game, and he shares a lot of attack patterns with Giganto.

Thank you, the two things that were giving me the most trouble with the fight were figuring out how to target the cord on supremes neck and trying to figure out what is going on with that attack where Supreme waves its arms around before it rams into the shield.

Just thought I’d throw this out there, but it is possible to avoid the 100 ring punishment from the energy orbs by either 1. Parrying the energy orbs right when they’re about to hit you (this will be difficult to pull off due to the timing and trees obstructing your view, but is possible to pull off. Just don’t panic too much, or you might miss the timing.) 2. If the perfect parry is too much to do, quick cyloop *right before* the energy orbs hit you, and this will force Supreme to stop throwing the projectiles for a short period of time due to his multiple arms being occupied from not trying to get crushed. Good luck!

I found from a couple test runs myself that you can entirely avoid the energy orb cutscene in Phase 2 by doing Perfect Parry, getting hit by an energy orb in general is what triggers it, an easy way to do this I find is doing the Grand Slam finisher and standing still as doing so will adjust the camera back to your position above the trees and Perfect Parrying the energy orbs as they come, and I can confirm that you can cheese the battle using Cross Slash at level 1 attack stats (Phantom Rush is your best friend for low level runs so that you don't deal chip damage) especially because Super Sonic can boost anytime to reset Cross Slash, but where's the fun in doing that? I found the update a bit surprising in terms of difficulty in some spots, now I don't think it's ball bustlingly hard or anything, some parts I found a little annoying more than anything else, particularly getting down Perfect Parry for the boss rush trial against the Titans on Hard Mode, admittedly the prospect of trying that on Extreme Difficulty is kinda scary. I found the tower platforming adopted from Rhea to be a natural progression of difficulty for the platforming challenge the game presents. I enjoyed playing as the other playable characters and seeing how I can break some of the platforming sections with their capabilities especially with Tails, I thought it was satisfying to climb walls as Knuckles at high speeds and his Power Boost Glide is pretty fun to use, and Amy is fun to platform with due to her triple jump and tarot card gliding capabilities, it's fun chaining her power boost equivalent in midair to just go soaring with the glide. Some may find the platforming sections annoying, but I for one think they're platforming goodness. I've not tried the Cyberspace stages yet mainly because the level progression of the update is different compared to the rest of the first three islands and base-game Ouranos Island, I found it's pretty easy simply looking for the Lookout Koco in the Open Zone which is the best part of Sonic Frontiers for me anyway. I found myself liking the final boss in the update, when fought legitimately it's a decent escalation of difficulty and I think it handles Perfect Parrying better than the boss rush since it's designed with the mechanic in mind.

I cant believe how useful this was the boss has so many gimicks it doesnt tell you how to deal with that it took me a few trys thank you 😅

If you try to do this boss with like 100 rings, you'll automatically die at the giant energy bomb part. Definitely max out on rings before starting this boss! I was so confused why I kept failing at that part with no prompts or anything 😅

After I psy looped the gun I didn't have the cutscene where sonic loses rings nor was ever tossed to his back I was stuck in between his head and hands and just kept hitting it until I won.

So did the final boss change as the game updated? because there are videos of the ending being you shooting The End like in a space ship type thing and the game ending

Normally I’d indulge in figuring out a boss like this on my own…But between the cord, the gun, and what would’ve eventually been phase 3, I think I would go insane before figuring it out. Absolutely destroyed this boss once I knew what I was supposed to do, but damn if that was a steep learning curve.

I would say that even more in common have Spiderman and Ratchet. They actually have the same personality, very similar moveset (especially when Ratchet now uses the slingshot as standard), I think they even have the same voice actors sometimes. And the games for both of them are developed by Insomniac games for Sony consoles.

I think it's better that you use sonic's punches to attack the purple cord plug while you hit once and dodge before sonic transforming into super sonic 2 or after💯👍

3:35 I don't know what happened to me but in that cutscene the first time around, he only had one hit of losing the rings and then I got a "Try again" text appear and I was sent back to the beginning. I'd be curious to know if others had a similar experience, because I'm still unsure if you had to press something during it or not, because how did I lose there??? This boss fight was so frustrating but this guide helped tons!

I had to switch to easy on the wyvern fight because of a glitch where a missile would spawn on me when I needed to parry his swipes so I got hit by the missile and couldn’t parry and the swipes. I needed the extra frames to do both.

So I'm not sure if this glitch is recent, but somehow I managed to lock myself out of beating the end. I just stomp bosses to death for quick and easy kills, and for some reason it lets me keep damaging the end until its health bar is empty. It keeps regenerating its fake moon cable thing which heals it, and I can't get out of this loop. I'm on ps5, no clue what to do

You can skip the nergy ball doing parry to the mini energy balls or doing cyloop to make he dont trhow the mini energy balls.

Actually, you can not do the cut scene where you lose rings by doing a quick cyloop while he is on low enough health and getting him to no health

changing target is quite unintuitive, quick cylooping should have been what unplugged the cord - at least by this point you know thats a thing super sonic can do... hopefully

There's a glitch when I have dealt all the damage to the head in which sonic just starts spin dashing on it and the cutscene doesn't trigger. Instead the plug shows up again and I have to unplug it and beat the head again and again and again and the fight never ends because of the glitch!!! It's infuriating!!
