Today we are making an ISO so you can install a debloated copy of Windows 11. This ISO will be based on the Tiny11 project. However, rather then downloading it, we are going to make it ourselves.

You know, these videos are just awesome. I often know much of the stuff already. But then when I actually sit down to do these kinds of things, I might forget some steps, some stuff may have changed, and some new features added or tools gotten available that actually makes my older way of doing it the more cumbersome. Because after 35-some years in IT, the enthusiasm for keeping up with something which is just going to be gone or changed again within 2-3 years, it does get rather tiresome and exhausting. - Then it is great to have somewhere to go, to find summed up step-by-step "recipes" and even get reminded about the small details.

Also don't use winget in an admin console, if it needs admin access it'll prompt for it. That way you can install and run your browser without admin privileges.

Great video as always. One thing is that if you want to manually remove aspects of Windows, (Xbox, Cortana, etc.) or disable parts of Windows(telemetry, etc.) or want to keep certain parts of Windows(Edge, etc.) one great program is called NTLite. It's a program where you can import and edit a Windows ISO manually, and do things like adding driver support, installing updates to a certain ISO, removing features, disabling things, removing programs, and more. It's a great tool that I think you(Cyber) should make a video on, especially considering you don't have to download an outdated Windows ISO from a 3rd party mirror, and it gives you even more flexibility than this script. Would recommend.

yes NLite is the best option imo too ;) And now there is a script that makes one click debloat easy by selecting a profile and Nlite automatically debloat things for you, the safest and most efficient way to fully unblock an operating system like w11.

If you have Ventoy on a portable HDD/SSD, you could just keep a folder on it with the installer for your web browser (and other apps if you want) inside it if you don't wanna go the winget route after first boot! I have an "/ISOs" directory and an "/Apps" directory on mine, and Ventoy is configured to only look at files inside the "/ISOs" directory when booting from it, makes a handy swiss army knife 👍

11:00 actually the author of rufus explains that there is absolutely no difference between the portable and the regular one except that the executable checks if it has a p at the end and if so puts the ini file in the same directory as the executable vs in your profile making the config portable. So for 99% of users it doesn't matter only those wanting to have rufus on a portable stick and leave no trace on other systems and carry the config on it.

All the windows apps here that cannot be remove by windows default uninstaller can be uninstall by iobit uninstaller. So basically you can just modify the installer in rufus and eventually remove all this apps using iobit uninstaller. Using tiny builder is making the system unstable like the start menu that whatever new apps you will intall, it wont automatically show in the recent add.

Could you not download the Chrome install package on the same USB flash drive (after you have created the ISO image)? Then, you can simply run it from the USB drive after Windows 11 are first started. Is there anything flawed in this approach? Seems a simpler method.

Maybe I am an idiot, but I still don't see the point to Rufus. It seems like more work. I just mount the image and take those files and past them into the USB drive... Also, when setting up Windows, I don't create a partition. I am not sure what the idea of that is either, because if you install Windows on the only partition there, it will make 4 anyway. Otherwise you're just losing more space to hidden parts of the hard drive. I used a current ISO of Windows from Microsoft. I didn't notice it taking any less time. And when I finally did get into Windows, everything was there, so I just use O&O to uninstall everything else from the machine, I use an Edge uninstaller file then I go into Programs X86 and delete Internet Explorer and Microsoft. If I am unable to delete Internet Explorer, I take ownership of the folder, then I can delete it, and if I am unable to delete Microsoft, because it's still open, I go to task manager and disabled "Widgets" then I am able to delete the Microsoft folder. I wouldn't recommend deleting Edge from System Apps folder because all it does is slow the system down, and if you change it to . (dot) disabled, it will keep reverting itself back to it's original name. Microsoft just LOVES to annoy the f*** out of their customers. I think why all the apps were still there is I forgot to disconnect my computer from the Internet while installing because it did install 11 Pro without asking me and it is a system without TPM, and all the other Microsoft mishigas and malarkey. I see countless people talk about Rufus and I just don't get it, why waste all that extra time and complicate things ? Am I missing something ?

@@CyberCPU You can't, I tried. Tried with several of them. Not the one you made though. Haven't tried the creator. I do have a test system setup that's running NTDev's ISO and it's doing well. No hiccups. Even have ESET installed on it. Been running well for almost 4 months.

LOL well must be Microsoft saw this and dumped 1265 just to annoy me. When I attempt to use UUP dump I get "Unable to retrieve data from Windows Update servers. Reason: XML_PARSE_ERROR" and "If this problem persists, most likely the set you are attempting to download was removed from Windows Update servers." So I guess I will just have to wait until they update the github to a newer version.

Ok, I'll have to investigate this .iso further. Because when I tried to install Tiny11 previously, it failed to mount.

Hi I have questions. @7:30 on the video, how do I mount iso from my download drive? Is this possible? I don't have d drive on my machine. Do I need to have a DVD drive and also when copying iso file to DVD drive, do I need to use rufus to create iso? Say if I want to move the iso to desktop, how do I change the directory so it picks up the iso file?

The "uup_download_windows.cmd" does not work in my case. When CMD open it only it say: "Current directory contains spaces in its path. Please move or rename the directory to one not containing spaces. Press any key to continue . . ." I press any key and it closes. And no - it does not work by renaming the path.

One thing I could not figure out in installing windows 10 is. When it comes to drives to install it on I was not given an option to install windows 10 on a GPT formatted Drive? Even though after install that windows drive is GPT. Windows 11 must have corrected that.

heres the thing... i follower your steps, the compiler (UUP)command prompt crashed my computer. when i went to C drive to see if tiny11 was there, it was the same size as the original. when i tried the process again, prompt stated those files existed. i deleted tiny11 from my c drive. then it told me there are files in another folder. tiny11 did not save the second time

this install initially didn['t workout for me . i used all your links etc but where it goes south is right in the beginning thankfully . Where you direct us to run uup_download_windows file , it seeks admin approval and the dos screen then opens and on it it says click any key to continue which i then do and it just closes the cmd prompt . Just to be sure it did in fact close , i confirm in the task manager but also run sysinternals autoruns and it definetly s not running anywhere . Im assuming im not the only one that this will happen to so I suppose this message is just a heads up that you might get few more queries than you werent expecting . Keep up the good show and Thanks , And the resolve is be sure that there are no spaces in the folder names that you download to and run it from

I tried to install tiny 11 on my laptop and it still told me my system didn't meet minium requirements. And yes I selected MBR. I thought tiny 11 has a bypass around system requirements?

can we just run the setup by mounting the tiny11 iso or do we really have to make a bootable drive?
