Cheese + Ramen is actually popular in Korea. As a Korean, I gotta say that these two know what they're doing! Nice job. Very informative. Please stop bitching over the cheese... Koreans do that all the time. We even put sausages and bacons in our ramen.

I come back to this video because its so enjoyable, but it's even more hilarious reading the people's comments who obviously don't know the two and that they have been in Korea for a while when that video was made. xD They get so offended and I'm like, these are two adults trying to have fun and spread their love/eating tactics for ramen.

It´s funny how people criticize them, saying that they should go back to America because they added cheese to their ramen, when in this exact same video they mention the "cheese-bokki" (aka. spicy rice cake with cheese) which was made IN Korea BY koreans. Just reacting to all the hate in the comments after re-watching one of my favorite Simon and Martina´s video in Korea :)

I think its funny how people are like "I'm asian, this is not how you eat ramen. I know better than you". and then they are probably from america and have never lived a year in asia....like ok sure.

Now that I see people talking about this it really does kind of piss me off that so many people went after these two back in the day. Most people kind of assumed they didn't speak Korean at all. It's wild. But if they knew them they'd know how good their hearts :/

Can I point out that just because you don't eat your ramen like this, doesn't mean they don't? They're not 'Americanizing' anything. I'm sure they would have said they were. Eggs do change the broth consistency as does the cheese. It makes the broth creamier. I had a girlfriend who put steak sauce and cheese in her instant noodles, she's both Korean and Japanese. Instant noodles, as well as packaged ramen aren't traditional. An actual ramen, OR guksu recipe is traditional. Ramyeon is the way the pronounce ramen in Korea. They aren't weeaboos, they live in Korea. The amount of judging I've seen is crazy, and it's for the smallest reasons ever. If Simon likes ranch in his ramen then so be it. If Martina likes cheese in her ramen, so be it. You can have your own preference without judging others.

I hate revisiting this video because I'm someone who scrolls through the comments and the comments section is full of either newcomers or general haters. sigh I feel bad saying this after three years but 1. They're not technically American, They're Canadian (don't know Martina's ancestry) and Polish. 2. They've lived in Korea for 7+ years. 3. Lots of Koreans eat that particular type of ramyeon like that, minus the ranch but Simon just likes ranch. 4. They use acronyms like Fap Fap and Wank as jokes...

So I'm learning Korean and I paused the video in the beginning and saw the sign on the convenience store door that says "아이스 커피" I was ecstatic that I knew that it said "Iced Coffee"... Then I realized that it literally says 'Iced Coffee' but in hangul xD

Well, that was 6 years ago, and she's now a sophomore at Columbus college of Art and Design.....here I am, in 2020, reminiscing.....thank you. Why do people not like cheese mixed with other stuff in noodles? Isn't it like mac and cheese? I add weird stuff to my noodles all the time. More than just processed cheese and eggs. Sometimes I add honey, various shredded cheeses, soy sauce, vinegar, heck I've ever tried making vanilla noodles before. I don't understand how you can judge someone because their tastes are different from yours. Don't be a close-minded person.

Hello, It’s me again! 2023 and still coming back to this video when I eat ramen alone❤

This was the first Simon and Martina video I ever saw! I found it after googling ways to fancy up my ramen, and then falling into a deep hole of watching random people eat various types of ramen noodles. I can remember wondering if you two were together, or just awkwardly close friends, hahaha. Now you two are some of my favorites on KZfaq! Had to come back and revisit my first SNM video and share my love 💕💕

I am Korean but I was born in the States. we eat different kinds of ramyun (ramen) but my favorite brand is the Samyang ramyun that has the bright orange packaging (u can see from the vid. I saw it!) we would add 4 packets of Samyang ramen (because there are four of us) in a large pot and add 4 eggs, break the yolks so that pieces of the egg is evenly distributed throughout the broth and noodles. Then the kimchee!! Not the fresh ones. We would do sometimes, but because they leave a very leafy flavor, almost bitter taste that we would just leave our kimchee in the fridge, almost like the kimchee is aging. it leaves a really great flavor once you take it out the fridge and add it to the ramyun. We either mix the kimchee with the ramyun OR eat the kimchee cold straight from the fridge and eat it with the hot noodles. the refrigerated kimchee cools down the noodles and the kimchee has this crunch when you bit it along with the noodles... Im just getting hungry from typing all of this... X3

Haha dying cause people are fighting about race and origin and shit. K I would def call them pros (of Korean cup noodles) cause they've seen and tried all kinds of Korean ramen combos. Are you better at Korean ramen combos than they are?? Unless you actually are and are living in Korea, I can't call you a pro. AND ramen/ramyun is originally from China (No I'm not Chinese so I'm not one of those overly proud Chinese). It means spicy noodles (someone else told me it also means pulled noodles). Ramen in Japan and Korea has made their own kinds of ramens after it branched out.
