Editing to music has always been one of the most time consuming parts of video editing for me. I don't know if this automated tool will work for my types of videos (at least, not the majority of my videos), it can open up some possibilities for B-Roll and such. However, I had no idea a software like BeatEdit existed! If a software can pop in and add all the markers for me, that would save me heaps of time. Thank you for this tutorial! I will definitely have to check out this software.

Beat Edit is a must have! It does many more things than putting markers, and remember: "peaks are not necessarily beats"!

Thank you for the automate sequence tip, I didn't know that. It's just annoying because for years (and still today installing the old apk) I use Adobe Premiere Clip on my phone which basically was a free app that did BeatEdit but more. What I was hoping for was a software like that for my PC (can't edit 4K fottage on my phone).

What I'm actually looking into doing is using still photos changing to a rather fast beat. It will probably be an eyesore in the end but it's the effect that I want. I guess I would be better off getting the software that automatically matches the beat because I'm talking about a lot of photos. I guess we'll see where it goes. Thank you for your information.

Great video, wish I'd watched this BEFORE beginning my project and arranging all of my Dad's clips on the timeline. Yes this is much easier than approach I took as a iMovie user; editing them on the timeline and trying to slide everything around.to line up with the waveform spikes. I'm immediately glad I've chosen to learn Premier Pro. Thanks!
