First of all you saw a handful of cars revving with loud exhausts so hardly a way to determine if it’s working or not. Also every car in California isn’t California registered so the law wouldn’t apply to them, cars like the ones from DDE that are from Canada and someone said that Supra is from Florida.

@@venom5809 The law has been in the books for a long time, it's about limiting stupid loud exhaust. It was a fix it ticket before, but too many people abusing it. Its really to get people with straight pipes to put on mufflers. Plenty of loud exhaust systems within the decibel limit.

Honestly I can't think of an example of exhaust noise bothering me to the point that I felt something needed to be done about it. ANd I'm in the SF bay area. The closest thing would be Harley's and I haven't even heard them mentioned since they stepped up the penalty
