How to enable/disable Daytime Running Lights DRL using instrument cluster menu

In this video I will show you how to enable/disable Daytime Running Lights (DRL) on your bmw e9x car using on-board computer menu.
Note: You can enable Daytime Running Lights only if your car is equipped with this option.
To enable/disable DRL, you need to follow the next steps:
1) You need to be inside the car with all doors closed.
2) Insert the key in the key slot.
3) Activate ignition mode. (by pressing start/stop button without pressing the clutch (for manual transmission) / brake (for automatic transmission) pedal).
4) Press this little round switch, of the signal lever button in down until you can see in the instrument cluster display the icon with a key and a check mark.
5) Press "BC" button from the signal lever to enter in the submenu.
6) Use the little round switch, of the signal lever button to scroll through the menu until you can see a sign like a "sun" with a low beam in right side, follow by an "on" or "off" text. Under this sign is configuration DRL.
7) Press "BC" button from the signal lever to enter in the submenu.
8) Press this little round switch, of the signal lever button in down/up to enable/disable DRL. Here you have 2 options:
- "on" text, this will enable DRL.
- "off" text, this will disable DRL.
9) Select what you prefer and press "BC" button.

I don't mind it but it get so annoying everybody tells me your lights out your lights out your lights out your lights out no dude it's just a run light I'm dead serious on a daily basis

Hi, in some country (for e. g. în Europe) at one point this where mandatory to be on all cars, this was write in legislation but now depend on country. If they are on, I assume you will not have any problem. (but take kare because for e. g. in Romenia you need to drive with Low beam on some roads and this DRL are not help you) if in you country is not specified something regarding DRL or which light mode you need to use on the road, then you can use this only for aspect of the car. 😊

BMW EMS, please do a video on the Passenger Airbag Light On all the time, I have an E91 06 year, tried the bypass route but still have the light on. Thanks

Hi, I strongly recommend you to replace the airbag since it is an safety equipment an also if you sell the car the new buyer shall know that the airbag is not active. First I recommend you to read the errors of the car with ISTA+ (ISTA D), because the airbag light can be on from also other equipment defect, not only the airbag itself, can be because of seat belt connector or + battery cable. And after that to replace the defect part 😊

Hi bro, my 2008 E92 335i doesn’t even have that option but everyday it displays faulty error messages for both left & right side. It’s a fucken nightmare I don’t know how to stop this error messages everyday

Hi, this option is visible in LCI variants, from what I know you need to have FRM3 module to be able to activate/deactivate this feature 🙂

Ceau, la mine cand deblochez masina din cheie nu se mai aprind angel eyes.urile, la fel si cu luminile care erau puse pe automat si chiar daca luam contactul nu se stingeau becurile.pana nu deschideam usa, acum din senin la deblocare angel eyes.urile nu se mai aprind iar la oprirea motorului se sting si becurile automat(nu mai asteapta sa deschis eu usa :) ), daca vezi mesajul ast rasp te rog

Salut, și butonul de la faruri îl ai tot pe auto? Sau îl ai pe pornite (faza scurta)? Ai putea sa încerci sa îl pui și pe faza scurta (dacă îl ai pe auto) sa vezi dacă se comporta la fel. De asemenea depinde cum stai cu curentul din baterie, welcome Light ar putea sa nu se aprindă dacă e bateria slaba 😊

@@BMWEMS am incercat si pe auto si faza scurta, probabil sa fie bateria slaba, nu prea am folosit masina la drumuri lungi in ultimul timp, ms

Hi, my car is e90 LCI with FRM3, in this model you have it default enabled (at least from what I know), do you have an pre LCI car?

Hi, I didn't try on pre LCI, I saw in a video that DRL can be also enabled for pre LCI if you have angel eyes, but you need to do an update by coding FRM module. This is the video:m.kzfaq.info/get/bejne/bbCbdrZ43ZOVnGQ.html I didn't try it, is not my video, but you can try it. 😊
