In this tutorial, I will guide you step-by-step on how to enable Hardware-Accelerated GPU Scheduling in Windows 10.
In May of 2020, Microsoft released a new setting in Windows 10 called Hardware Accelerated GPU Scheduling. As per Nvidia, this feature can potentially improve performance and reduce latency.

There is a minimum system requirements for this new Windows 10 feature.
First, you need to have Windows 10 version 2004 build 19041. To check your Windows 10 version, click on Start, choose Settings, go to System and click About. Under Windows Specification section, you should see your Windows 10 version and build here.
Second, this new feature will ONLY work with Nvidia Graphics Card from 1000 series or higher. Meaning, if you have a 1080 Ti, or a 1650 or 2080 Super, you should be able to see this new Windows 10 feature. Just for clarification purposes, the higher-tier graphics card comes with more VRAM like the RTX 2080, the RTX 2080 Super or the RTX 2080 Ti, but because of higher VRAM, you will benefit less from this new feature. However, if you have one of the 1600 series graphics card, you will benefit more from Hardware-Accelerated GPU Scheduling feature.
Third, you need to install the Nvidia GPU Driver version 451.48 or higher (sorry i forgot to mention this in my video kek). Let's go to Nvidia GeForce Experience, click on DRIVERS, click CHECK FOR UPDATES, and install the latest GPU driver available to you. Once your done, X out and restart your gaming pc.
Last but not least, as for AMD Graphics Card, AMD just released a new graphics card driver that supports Hardware-Accelerated GPU Scheduling in Windows 10. But ONLY to Radeon RX 5600 and Radeon RX 5700 series. If you're using one of these graphics card, go update your graphics card driver and restart your gaming pc.

Once your Windows 10 and your Graphics Card Driver are up to date, let's go ahead and enable this new feature. Click on Start, choose Settings, go to System, let's scroll down and click Graphics Settings, and click this. You need to restart your gaming pc in order for this change to take effect.
For whatever reason that you cannot see this new feature, please double check you Windows 10 version and build, and also your graphics card driver.
