Are you able to get WhatsApp to work? We've done setup correctly but the band won't receive messages. Calls yes, but messages no. Which is odd.

Done all this and a number of other things but still only get notifications for text messages, phone calls and WhatsApp calls. Nothing else. Not even WhatsApp messages. Disappointing.

you guys wont get any notification because the mi band 8 is Chinese edition also in the app you have to set Chinese region to use the band. That's why you guys wont get any notification(except Chinese apps) even if you enable "other app" option in the mi fitness app.
