How To Enable Video Playback On Your Car Stereo Bypass For Free!
This is illegal in some countries, so do it at your own risk. This video is educational and driving while watching the stereo is dangerous! So be safe!
Locate your Parking brake wire it maybe of a different colour than mine depending on your card stereo so please check your manual first, then just simply connect it to any metal parts on your car, the metal part need to be connected to the Car's chassis. No need to buy a bypass for this its just a waste of time and includes extra wiring. But please bear in mind that this method may not work for every Stereo and Car out there.

This worked on my Kenwood DDX393! Simply grounding the parking brake wire to the stereo chassis is all it takes. Thanks!

very helpful. I heard many bs like connect it to a resistor and touch it to positive wire, connect it to car battery or to relay but this method is the easiest one. Worked great for me and now I can use the HDMI input on my Sony unit to play on my Xbox or play movies from my FireTV Stick. I drive a 2010 Mercedes Benz G-Class and I would have to disassemble the entire dashboard to get to the plug of the foot activated handbrake since the switch itself is covered in black gunk and you can't remove that stupid connector unless you go very deep into the dashboard and find the plastic connector.

OMG! I was installing my new stereo (which is the exact same one you showed in the video) that has backup camera capability just now, but couldn't get the camera to work. Soon as I watched this, I realized what that other green wire was for!! Thank you so so much you are a lifesaver bro!!

thanks, I just had this problem but I IAM Going put a mini key SWITCH and hide IT were canT be seen and use IT TO CONNECT AND DISCONNECT THE HEAD UNIT BRAKE WIRE BY CONNECTING the hEAD UNIT BRAKE WIRE TO MINI KEYED SWITCH THEN USE THE OTHER TERMINAL OF THE MININ SWITCH TO THE CAR BODY OF THE CAR SO YOU TURN ON OFF THE VIDEO SCREEN

I'm wanting to install a parking brake bypass on a stock ford stereo. However, when I located the green, black and blue wires I found there was either conduction shield or what I think may be called bare wire running alongside these three wires. Question is.. how do I deal with the bare wite when installing the parking brake bypass? Please excuse my verbage and terminology - I'm new to this. Thanks for your time.

I can not begin to tell u how much B#@#S#@% I have been reading in the source agreements and internet Q&As and how much time I have sat n my truck pressing every possible agreement on and off an stopping an going or just sitting n a parking lot with the truck running because I thought of a new way to word my search and try again!!!!!! Then having to search what happens if I deny or turn on/off this or that and checking emails!!!!! I mean crazy shit!!!! And I don't know why I didn't look on KZfaq FIRST or even think they what tells it its moving, duh when u switch it in gear or begin to roll!!!! I thought I was going to be sitting down for another long internet search today but your video is the first video it pulled up when I typed in how to bypass infotainment systems no videos in my vehicle!!!!!

Oh thank you, I don't usually subscribe to much on here but I subscribed because ur video is the best and most simple easy to understand and follow (if someone can't understand it then they probably shouldn't be trying to do it theirselves)! But coodos for real I feel a little dumb for not realizing this easy way, common sense way b4 I spent all that time on Google or in settings and source codes/agreements, and even more dumb for not using KZfaq first!!!!! Mine I'll work like that but once I turn off my car and start it back it won't show video until I unhook the brake wire and ground it again. But once car is off it's the same thing

not on the latest pioneer radios. it will enable the bluetooth and other menus that would otherwise be off if it wasn't grounded but pioneer has decided to make it extra "safe" for us...I guess. Regardless, nice video
