I use a crochethook to pick up the stitches and instead of pins :safeypins( those in a pearshape for not have the thread cought in the spiral) I DO so much enjoy your tips and tricks :keep at it please, they're their weight worth in gold , in a manner of speaking!!! Tank you

I suppose that one can pick up stitches with a crochet hook and then place it on the knitting neadle...

Absolutely! If you are more comfortable using a crochet hook, that would be a great way to pick up stitches. Happy knitting!

How come you don't use a crochet needle to pick up the stitches? I always do - crochet needle over yarn before pulling throug, then there will be no need to twist stitches when starting to knit them

Yes, using a crochet hook is much easier.
