How to - Excel - Remove Protected View
1. *Open Excel Document:* Launch Microsoft Excel and open the Excel document that you want to remove the protected view from.
2. *Protected View Bar:* When you open a document that Excel considers potentially unsafe, a yellow bar with a "Protected View" message will appear at the top of the document.
3. *Enable Editing:* Click on the "Enable Editing" button located within the protected view bar. This action will enable you to make changes to the document.
4. *Security Warning Dialog Box:* If there is an additional security warning dialog box, follow the instructions to proceed. This may involve confirming that you trust the source of the document.
5. *Save the Document:* After you've enabled editing and addressed any security warnings, make any necessary changes to the document.
6. *Save Changes:* Once you've made the required changes, click on the "File" menu in the upper left corner of the Excel window.
7. *Save As Option:* Select the "Save As" option from the menu.
8. *Save As Dialog Box:* In the "Save As" dialog box, choose the location where you want to save the document and provide a name for it if necessary.
9. *Save Button:* Click the "Save" button to save the document with your changes.
10. *Close and Reopen:* Close the Excel document and then reopen it. The protected view should no longer appear since you've already enabled editing and saved the changes.
