If you want to export your image, text, or graphics with a transparent background from Photoshop, this tutorial will break down the exact steps to do so.
Exporting transparent backgrounds from Photoshop is easy once you learn the difference between JPEG and PNG files. In this video you'll see the clear difference between these two files and how to tell when your image actually has a transparent background.

To make things short : Go to the the Layers panel. Select the layer you want to save as image. Right-click and select Quick Export As PNG. Choose a destination folder and export the image. You can also go to file menu -> Export -> Quick Export As PNG

how do I export as a PNG, so that it saves the POSITIONING of each individual layer? i've corrected the canvas size, but when i try to plug it in, it places it right in the center. i've tried quick export, i've tried export as, i'm not sure how to save each individual piece so that it stays where it's positioned on the photoshop canvas any help?

Nice video, but I wish you could have illustrated removing small slivers of background that remained in your cutout picture.

An easy way to do this could be done by zooming in on the part you want removed (the white between the leaves) and use the magic eraser tool. Click on the white area with the tool activated (it's under erasers) and voila. There may be better or other ways to do this, but there's a quick easy one

Are you using PS 2020 or newer? If you are, make sure the layer is selected. If you aren’t, the Quick selection tool works well for fast selections with similar results to the remove BG button

Are you using a recent version of photoshop and is your image layer selected? You could also access the quick selection tool, then click “select subject” in the upper bar, then add a layer mask to the image layer to remove the background. Thats a workaround if the properties panel isnt working.

Did you place the image in a different document? If so, you can select "Convert to Layers" and wait a few seconds. Then the "Remove Background" button will appear.

Could you improve your tutorial? Your 4:45 minute video is only being utilized for 45 seconds. Maybe try making a more informative and concise demo that is geared towards beginners, who may not be familiar with advanced Photoshop techniques.
