Did you figure out how to do this? Sounds like a similar problem I’m having. I want to run my smart TV for the apps and connect it to my receiver to play sound through my ceiling speakers. I haven’t found a way to do this without connecting directly with an HDMI cable. I’m trying to avoid running a 40’ cable through my attic unless it’s my only option.

@@CablewholesaleInc It also uses a USB 3 cable, but I have a cable for that. Just wanting to extend the HDMI portion. The headset doesn't allow using a cable more than 30' or so. If I would buy one of these and it didn't work, would I be able to return it for full refund? Or would you be interested in sending me one for testing. We cannot guarantee that our part will work with your equipment because the headset may be designed to not accept HDMI runs of longer than 30'. We would recommend contacting the manufacture of the headset to see if you would be able to use a HDMI extender with it.

@@AbdoZaInsertin the end I did cat6 ports everywhere and then got a hmdi splitter/cat6 converter. So I end up plugging a ethernet cable into the cat6 port > connect the other end of ethernet cable to ethernet:hdmi adaptor > then connect hdmi wire as normal. I chose a HDMI splitter where the adaptors don't need a seperate power supply (they get it from the splitter via POE). Works well and super flexible

Hello TheFitnessJourney, You would need to connect directly. Unfortunately, this part and is not designed with the purpose of holding and distributing multiple signals.

These devices are used when the distance exceeds that which an HDMI cable alone would work. Standard copper HDMI cables are limited to 50 feet. There are chipped cables which can reach 100 feet. For distances greater than 100 feet one has to use HDMI extenders like the ones shown in our video, or Fiber Optic solutions. The product shown in this video uses two baluns/devices. One encodes the HDMI signal for transport across an Ethernet cable and the other decodes the signal. In this example, the Ethernet cable is for transporting the encoded HDMI signal and nothing more. Regular HDMI cables are used as jumpers between the source device and transmit balun as well as between the receiver balun and the display. In addition to supporting greater distances, these baluns also support transmitting the IR signal from your remote to the source. Hopefully, this answers your questions.

Hello NebulousHD, if your CCTX has an HDMI connection, you can run a short HDMI cable to an HDMI splitter. Then, from the splitter, you could use these HDMI over Cat6 extenders to go to multiple rooms in your house.

Yes, you can use a single CAT6 to run both normal internet and these HDMI extenders. You would need an Ethernet switch at the beginning and the end to break out internet or HDMI extenders.

Hello Marcio Iacono, You should be able to send a video game signal just like a tv signal through this HDMI extender device....Category6 defines a 4-pair cable that can carry data up to 1000 Mbps with a signaling frequency of 250 MHz, while Cat6a is 10,000 Mbps with a signaling frequency of 500 MHz. As far as TIA (Telecommunications Industry Association) standards go, Cat 7 does not exist. Standards Cat 7 have not been approved by TIA; therefore, Cat 6a is currently the highest TIA standard for twisted-pair communications cable.

@@marcoiacono Cat6e, like Cat7 is not an approved standard by the TIA. As there is no standard, one manufacturer's Cat 6e or Cat 7 could be built by totally different standards and specifications than another manufacturer's cable.

This product is only capable of sending an image from a source to a display in another location. It cannot do what you want, which is watch different channels on different displays. Thank you for asking your question! Hope it helps!
