It isnt, it's fake.. I know how oysters actually work, ur gonna kill it either way.. when u remove a pearl, it's like removing it's spine because it connects to the pearl before making it into one, that's why he brought alot of them with him.. his just gonna harm them either less, humans are evil because a oyster has a 4 year span so u can just get 200 of them and get all the pearls after 4 years instead of doing 1 month or a year and then people commenting (wow his not harming the oyster!)

Yeah. Nothing is wrong with that. Oysters don’t have brains, so they can’t feel pain. I would have cheered her on too. The only thing wrong with this is that she brought a knife to the beach. It’s not illegal to crack open an oyster.

Question: How do they survive this? Idk a ton about oyster anatomy other than the fact that they’re relatively simple as far as animals go, but you still appear to be making an incision to get the pearl out. If you made an incision in any land creature I can think of it’d almost certainly get infected and the animal would die. Is it possible for the oysters to survive just because their anatomy is so simple and a lot of it is exposed to the seawater anyways? And whatever organ(?) the pearls form inside isn’t very important to them?
