How to Factory Reset the Samsung A10 - Factory Reset/Password Removal

I was asked by a viewer how to reset the Samsung Galaxy A10 as they had forgotten their password and wanted to use the device again. I had one kicking around and needed to get in to the device myself so though I would record a quick video on how to do it.
Full disclosure this will wipe your device and you will lose everything on it. If your device is locked to a corporate MDM or Google account then this process may not work for you.

I bought a samsung a10s at walmart when we had our first lockdown and it randomly went into recovery mode i didnt know how to get out of that so i stopped using it and lost it but just found it yesterday and its still on recovery mode i try to wipe data/factory reset and am pressing the right keys but for some reason its not working whenever i press it??

I can't reset my phone when I press volumee up button... And switch off button it continuously get on off .. and it doesn't go to reset mode .. How to do it ... Any help ????

Let it fully run out of battery, like Complete dead. Then plus it into charger, then do the steps from start.

At the end he say if you need password reset you need to do hard reset ,

You must have found a solution by now but if anyone else has the same problem follow these steps: 1. Plug a charger on the phone and make sure it is charging 2. Volume down + Power (Hold until shows charging in a black screen) 3. Unplug charger and let the screen go dark. 4. Volume Up + Power (That should now get into recovery) 5. Reset and Enjoy 🙂

@@TalhatmkrjModz this simple sequence doesn't work if there is a Google account which has been fixed onto the phone, you have to go through a much more complex bypass process

Yep if it's Google FRP locked there isn't a lot you can do.

@@WeRepair there are some videos on YT showing how you do it but it involves downloading some dodgy software which roots the phone etc.

Hi there - I am trying to stop my phone giving a running voice commentary e.g. if I try to go onto "Settings" by touching the gear-wheel icon it actually speaks [female voice] "Settings" and with everything else I do on the phone. How do I stop Samsung Galaxy A10 from doing this [it is actually v annoying lol] - I saw your video on resetting, but I do not want to lose my data if at all possible. [I tried to look under Sounds settings but could not find a solution].

Thats a very good question, Samsung account should be removed unless its connected to Knox. Google Account may be removed depending on hows its setup.

I followed the instructions, after the A10 sign showed up, the screen went blank an te phone vibrated and then did a normal start up. i did have the phone family linked through google. Help please.

You have a few options. 1) - Assuming you can get in to your tablet there will be an option to switch to guest then you can shut it down. 2) - Hard reboot it with the side buttons and then quickly follow with this video process. 3) - Wait for it to go flat

You have two options hold power and volume down that will hard reboot and then you can follow the video or there should be an option to go into guest mode and that will give you the option to power off.

Trying to help a friend get into her deceased husbands phone. Originally she wanted to be able to access the pictures ect... unfortunately her phone is now broken. She desperately needs to be able to have her service put on his phone. She don't know the screen lock pin. I'm going to assume he has a Google account attached to the phone and if so she don't have access to that either. Is there anything I can do to help her?

If you follow the video that will reset it but if there is a google account on the phone and you don't know the password then that may be the end of the phone.

Needed to use power key and volume DOWN to restart then swap to Volume Up when logo appears. Worked fine otherwise.
