I stumbled across fasting in early 2018 when I did this five-day water challenge of drinking a gallon of water a day for those five days - I was doing it for an autoimmune/energy issue in my life. By day five, I realized I had not eaten the whole time - I guess the water filled me up, and I'm not a "food motivated" person. I was so surprised when I had the realization that I had not eaten for five days, so I called it "my supernatural fast" - not really understanding what I meant by that or what would come of it - I'd never fasted before. But, wow! After that week, I began having dreams about the end times! I was stunned! VIVID real dreams. At the time, I had no idea we would or could possibly be living in the end times! But that's what God used to wake me up to, not only the time we are living in, but to the calling, He had on my life. He did this without me even knowing that's what was happening. Since then, I have developed a life where fasting has become a real part of my spiritual discipline. I fasted for my Aunt, who had terminal cancer (21 days!), because the first thing she said when she found out about her illness was that she did NOT want to hear about God. That really shook me. On her deathbed, with hospice, she looked AMAZING. Her hair was white as snow, he skin was porcelain looking, AND she had a vision of loved ones waiting for her in heaven! THAT IS the power of fasting. I still fast for many other reasons, like this, personal breakthroughs, having much more of the Holy Spirit controlling my life, and breaking off things that are not in line with God's word. The things that come from fasting are absolutely amazing. I will never know why we don't do that in the church. Up to that one week, I knew no one who fasted in the church. Now that I know the power of fasting and its vital role, I don't see myself living a life without it as a real part of my spiritual walk with Jesus!

Hey I’m just a teen and I am growing up in a Christian home and have two wonderful parents but I feel like I don’t have God in my life at all. This really scares me as well because I really do believe in heaven and hell and where I would never headed without God, but I do not believe that God is in my life and that scares me so much. I just don’t know of anyone to talk to I really hope someone could give me advice or say something on this matter please.

Paul, I am 74 now but I grew up as the son of missionary parents and I know exactly how you feel. I am attaching a video which address your concerns in detail: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/gq58malkq7KRonk.html Now here is some advice from me to you. Put this thought in the front of your mind; Jesus loves you more than any one else in the world. Jesus loves you so much that He came to this earth and died for you. I know you remember John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." "Believe" in this verse means much more than just an intellectual assent, like "I believe that there is a city called New York" In this verse "believe" means to not only acknowledge Jesus' existence but to place your complete trust in Him and intentionally go about building a personal relationship with Him. The problem that a lot of kids from Christian families have is that they want to do things to prove that they are good and worthy Christians. That approach is never going to work and is just going to make you feel more unworthy - which in reality, you are. You already know that doing "works" will not work. I am sure you know Eph 2:8-9 "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God not by works, so that no one can boast." All the work required to save you from your sin has already been accomplished by Jesus. Your part is simply to thankfully accept what Jesus has done for you - and that is "belief." By the way, if you have accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you can be confident that He is never going to let you go. You are going to make mistakes/sin but He is always going to be there. Your part is to confess your sin, repent of your sin and get back in fellowship with Him. A relationship consists of listening (reading the Word of God) and talking (praying to God). When you read and when you pray; LISTEN because the Holy Spirit, is going to be speaking to you in those quiet times. One last thing to remember: Christians tend to want to FEEL good about being a Christian. Unfortunately, feelings are not reliable. Your salvation is based on Jesus' work on the cross. He did the work on the cross and that work will not be undone. Your salvation does not rely on feelings but on facts.

Blake, your concern is a familiar one and many Christians share your angst. Let's take a look at the unpardonable sin: (gotquestions provided this excellent summary) The unpardonable/unforgivable sin or “blasphemy of the Holy Spirit” is mentioned in Mark 3:22-30 and Matthew 12:22-32. Jesus said, “Truly I tell you, people can be forgiven all their sins and every slander they utter” (Mark 3:28), but then He gives one exception: “Whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven; they are guilty of an eternal sin” (verse 29). Remember that this was said of Jewish religious leaders who knew well the prophecies of the Messiah and there He (Jesus) was standing right in front of them, performing miracle after miracle yet they refused to believe. It is the Holy Spirit Who drew those religious leaders as well as us toward God and without the Holy Spirit none of us would ever desire a relationship with God. So if either those religious leaders or us refuse to acknowledge our need of a Savior and turn to the only one who can save, Jesus, then they or we are without hope - their sins are unpardonable because they have refused the witness of the Holy Spirit drawing them to the Savior. The fact that you are concerned about this tells me that you have not committed this sin. However, your concern also tells me that you have taken the job of securing your salvation on yourself and that is never going to work. I know because I have been there. You or I will never be able to secure our own salvation but Jesus can and does. When you gave yourself to Him, He took over and He will NEVER loose you. You are in His hands - relax and experience the joy and security that Jesus offers. I think that this clip from gotquestions.com will be helpful. www.gotquestions.org/eternal-security.html
