This one hit home. My twelve year old daughter is a three-time brain cancer survivor. Nothing is easy for her, she faces a lot of challenges, but she is the kindest most loving person I've ever known and we have hope.

Am not in either of your positions, so I don't even have the slightest of audacity to say you that I know what you are going through and that everything will be okay. But one thing I can say, it fills my heart and eyes to find you all so strong in the face of adversities. I wish you all my luck to get through this. Even the ones that I have. Get well, both of you

There's no such thing as luck. Obstacles in someone's life are there to test a person to see how big their will is. This man was given the biggest obstacles in life and he's gone through them as a champion. Everything he's done is because of himself and his will to live.

Hey lil man, much love to you! Happy belated b'day!!! Guess what ma man? you are gonna kick this cancers ass. Always think and say this out loud "I AM GONNA BEAT YOU! I WILL CRUSH YOU! I AM A FIGHTER & I AM A SURVIVOR!". Keep thinking & saying that. Keep dreaming the life after you beat this. Once you beat it lets go grab an ice cream and celibate it. I’ve done radiation therapy with temozoilde for 2 years some on some off, then avastin for 1 year then off. For the most part they’ve been monitoring it every 4 months now before it was every two months. Now they seen some activity so they want to try keytruda with avastin for a year to see how I do, keytruda because my glioblastoma has a fancy gene 🧬 make up which keytruda keys in on.. heard it’s done miracles on some.

I relate to this so much. I was born at 6 months of prengancy, i weighted not even a kilo, and spent most of my childhood in hospitals. Doctors told my mother i would be laying in a bed all my life and if one day i was able to get dressed by myself it would be a miracle. I overcame so much and now i will prepare to get into the police. "Never wish it were easier, wish you were better".

Love your mum! I've led a similar but different life. I've been sick all my life but the doctors & my mum kept telling me there's nothing wrong with me. For years I pushed & pushed myself to the limits. For years I hated that no-one believed me. But now. Now I'm so thankful that my mum pushed me & I pushed myself. I'm grateful for the life I have had & still have! I've been through all the ups & downs (inc seizures, heart problems & major problems functioning e.g. mobility). I currently have an infection that I'm struggling to fight off (been 5 months now). I have a blood disorder. But that doesn't define me. And I hope that if my kids have it, that it doesn't define them either. Well done on living your life as fully as possible. God Bless you & keep you safe. Much love & hugs 💕🙏

I grew up next door to Michael for much of our lives. I never once heard him complain...as a kid I didn't even realise he was sick. All I saw was a kind young boy who was happy to play with me and our neighbours. A young man who, when I was suicidal and depressed, in the midst of severe family violence, found me walking alone on our country road and gave me a lift home. It was only as an adult (when I interviewed Michael for a book I was writing) that I truly realised just how much Michael had been through and what a miracle it was that he survived. One of the most positive and kindest humans you'll ever meet.

I'm crying so hard right now...I cant handle these speeches...I've never realized how lucky I am to be here...how lucky I am to live the life I have...how lucky I am to be alive, have friends, being able to be happy, to run, to play, to enjoy life the way I was brought into it...I am a very family person and takes death harder than anyone else would, my aunt...she died in 2nd grade...car accident...my dad, hes had 2 seizures...survived both luckily...my dog, my grandma, my hamster even...I still cry just thinking about them and saying sorry to them for all of the times I decided not to spend time with them...all the times I used to think how annoying they were...how dumb it was to visit them and feed my dog and hamster everyday...I blame myself for each death, although it's not mine...my 2019 is the lowest part in my life right now...my little brother has influenza in his lungs and takes an inhaler...I take counseling for mental reasons, my mother...may or may not be having a miscarriage, I'll update you tomorrow when she goes to check...I have to end this in an inspiring way, so... Be greatful for all of the good things in life...dont let others make you feel worthless because we are all equal...no one should be treated differently...

The fact that poeple who stand on those stages have the mental and physical strength to tell stories like this about there struggles, worst times and the deepest, darkest memories they have to inspire people like us. I have the most deepest repsect for people like Michael, i wish and hope for people that have struggled and had bad memories that they succeed and progress in the place we call home. One thing we should all remember and teach the young generation is the reach high and if we fail then theres somewhere underneath that can lead you to success.

This man is a walking, breathing miracle from God!! His life represents the glory and power of God but the impossible things done through him!! God bless he and his family, and be with them. Seeing him speak reminds me of this passage from the Word, particularly verse 3: John 9 King James Version (KJV) 9 And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth. 2 And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind? 3 Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him. 4 I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work. 5 As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world. 6 When he had thus spoken, he spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and he anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay, 7 And said unto him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam, (which is by interpretation, Sent.) He went his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing.

Used to pray to god to take me and take me every night tears tears I didn’t care anymore, yes my life was not bad when I was a kid I played sports like football was really good at it? Every time I prayed to god to die god flipped it upside down, and I always woke up and I would be so grumpy that I was not dead. Finally a day came where I was with it the pain in my body aches it was horrible my dad would say keep on going with your football career and don’t give up but guess what .. the time I popped those pills I finally saw live life to the potential I was scared every second of my life I finally felt that burning in my head like my brain was getting lava poured on me it hurt so damn bad I finally knew that I’m about to go. When that was happening I was 11 years old my dad came home from work early and I told him what I did “DAD I JUST POPPED ALOT OF PILLS AND ITS HURTING SO BAD DAD IM SO SORRY” that’s when he rushed me to the hospital he fed me with water while driving to the hospital I went in and I finally noticed. God did not give up if my dad did not come from work early I would not be here I finally figured out that how much tough times you go through you can’t give up my dad was in tears the doctor said “sir you are a very lucky father your son could have died in a matter of 30 minutes” I stayed in that hospital for 3 days I finally went back home. The doctor said I was not able to play football anymore.. I was so upset, but after that life lesson it did not stop me I kept practicing I always told me dad I can’t give up I would go outside playing around with my ball finally I hit middle school and I went out for the football team. I tried my best for a spot and guess what I got a spot as a running back. That year was the best year I’ve had. After that life lesson it told me to get back up and guess where I am now. I am in high school getting scouted as a D1 runningback getting offers left and right one from LSU, Ohio state just remember to never give up and you will get to where you want to be

Whenever I feel myself complaining about something, I think about people who have it worse than me and it makes my problems seem so small. People battling cancer would trade places in an instant. Always be grateful for what you have because you never know what the future may hold
