Good thing you found it before you hit something and it busted open! Great tip

Wasn't much missing it, lol. Every couple hours on the water last few trips, I was having to turn bilge on for several minutes. Guess it would be smart of me to add another on with a float switch🤣

Just takes one log to bring a flawed weld to the surface. At least it wasn’t as bad as some I’ve seen. That technique is really useful for riveted boats.

Yeah, I learned the hard way on riveted boats. Couple saw horses and a water hose🤣

I've got a 21 G3 Bay 20 that I have maybe 50 hrs on it. Just put the boat in the water and docked it at our place, came out a couple hrs later to hear the auto bilge running. I wouldn't think much of it but I had ran the bilge before I covered it for the night. Clearly taking on water, and I double checked the plug to make sure it was secure. Happened on another vacation but thought it was just from running from dock to house. Not happy to say the least

Load it on the trailer, get all your electronics high enough to not hurt and put water in it. See where your leak is and mark it. That new of one, I'd make them warranty it for sure. Mine was an older model, but had only 8 hours on it when I bought it two years ago. I emailed G3 about it because it had low hours. Just didn't expect that type quality of their boats. They basically said have a nice day, hope you get it fixed so you can get after the fishes🤣🤣🤣. I'll never again buy another G3, or recommend them for that matter, just going off their reply back to me. That said I do like the way it fishes and love the center console. I got no plans of getting rid of it.

@@godscountryhuntingfishing1638 its under warranty, it's going in Friday to hopefully get fixed, at least diagnosed so if they have to order parts I can use it in the mean time. I started with a brand new Alumacraft Bay 20 this year and it took on water amongst several other problems, so they took it back and gave me the G3. Its been a long year with boats for me, especially that my dealer was a 11 hour drive one way to deal with all the issues

@@iowamatt2519 Man sorry to hear about all the issues. That's definitely not what Sportsmen expect when they spend hard earned money to enjoy the outdoors. Hopefully they get you lined out and back on the water. Hopefully you get good service. The decisions we make on purchases like that are life altering. Our return investment is a lifetime of enjoyment, so hang in there!!

@@godscountryhuntingfishing1638 good news, I put water in the boat out on the driveway and found a seal to the live well leaking dropped it off at G3 dealer and gave them list of issues and they said I'd have it back in a day. Not counting my chickens yet, but I am relieved.
@godscountryhuntingfishing1638 Жыл бұрын
@@iowamatt2519 definitely better news than weld issues. When I did my video I was really expecting something in of the sort, only to find a weld issue. Was a major let down. Glad yours turned out better. Should be be an easy fix!!

I got a 1983 Fisher Marine the weilds have not leaked . I did have a leak that kept getting worst that how I found it put water in the boat the plastic pipe that went to the live well.had cracked abought halve way around .i just took it out. and use 2 alum. Plates and caped it off.
@godscountryhuntingfishing16382 жыл бұрын
Yeah, in a way I wish mine would have been something like that, but truth is those in my boat would have been harder to fix than the weld was. We got lucky it was in a good spot. G3 was no help. I emailed them and they basically blew me off in their reply from customer service. I'll be sure to refrain from doing business or advertising for them in the future, LoL

I’d like to see how you got that dual set up on them trolling motors and how it holds you in place. Only seen dynamic positioning on big ships before.

How is the slat trap build going
@godscountryhuntingfishing16382 жыл бұрын
Had a few delays getting the wood sawed, and we've had to put all our vegetables up out of the garden last two weeks. I think I may have enough old material left over from Dad's build that he actually sawed out. I may go ahead and may a video using that material, then when the Lumber is ready to draw, do another video taking it from Log to trap.

I know everyone is wanting to see that video, and it's time to fish them, so I'll get it done soon
