I was able to save a lot of money in 3 years. I landed a 3 year consulting gig paying over $100K a year. I reside in the mid-west where there is a lower cost of living. I lived with my Mother ( I paid her rent). During this time I also paid off my $15K student loans and $18K Jeep. Now I have zero debt, still making over $100K and able to focus on building wealth via investments,etc

My wife and I are retiring this year with over $6,000,000 in tax deferred investments. up until 3 years ago we were 100% in the S&P. During bear markets we had a perfect plan. I have aunties abroad but they refuse to help me because what they want is for me to take care of my grandparents . I am so grateful to them because they helped me finish my studies. @Dianne Grace Raden, You were not born to become a slave and a caretaker forever for your elders. No matter what your family say, stand up for yourself and live for your yourself. Don't let them guilt trip or gaslight you as if you owe your entire life to them. You own your own life, not them so don't let them dictate what you can and can't do with your life. I've seen this culture in the Philippines where children are treated as investments, caretakers or slaves as if they were born only to serve their elders. Well, I say live your own life because they do not own you.

Choice mo yan kung saan mo gusto mag stay. Ang tagal ko na nga din dito sa USA, until now, single parin ako. Relative issues kasi. Kakasawa na. Mahirap ma expose ang issue ng kamag anak pag nalaman yan ng future spouse & in laws ko kapag until now, nakikibahay lang ako sa parents ko at tiyuhin kong ginagawa siyang gatasan ng pamilya niya. Mahirap makisama. Gusto ko na ngang lumipat ng ibang state na kung saan nakatira ang mas matino kong kamag anak. Style ko para maka iwas sa stress, pasok na lang sa trabaho. Mas marerelax pa ako. Kung mas malaki lang ang sahod ko, nagsarili na ako ng bahay. Kung may pinetition din ako from pilipinas na future spouse ko, mag a apartment muna kami para may privacy.

If I'm going to study Master Degree in the USA (with International Student Visa of course), I will choose between Management or Business program), is it possible to find part time or intern job related my education program? Because as I know from others people experiences usually part time job most available only a blue collar or informal job such as waitress, cleaning, packers, delivery, etc. Not white collar job or formal job such as administrative / assistant in office/bank/universities/hospital etc. No offense, doesn't mean blue collar job not good. But I thought it will be great and useful if I can get job experiences related to my education. If so, how and where to find such as that job vacancy? Kindly wait for your reply. Sis, when you applied ba sa first job mo dito sa US, did you declare your bachelor's degree right away? Some told me here not to declare it because sabi nla mahirap mahire especially kng d naan pang bachelor's degree ang position na inaapplayan. Na confuse ako..kaya tanong ko lang ito sis. Hello. Yes, you need to declare that you have a bachelors degree. The reason is that you will have an advantage when a management or higher position opens. Also, have your credentials evaluated for foreign equivalency to recognize your bachelors degree. If you have this, you can apply for government positions and federal jobs if you are a US citizen.
