Thanks for sharing this is how I find mine everytime then I show up look around see what I see take pictures of upc's price etc and save it in my list.

That sounds like a remodel store.. I've been to a remodel where they did not put up signs/ 50% off stickers.

I have seen with my own eyes a master list of a remodel store from a dg employee and I even was able to take pics of the nearly 12 pages of the items that were gonna penny at the remodel. Of course every store has different items that will penny so not all the same items will penny out every time but the store does in fact receive a master list just like they receive a list for Tuesday’s penny list. I enjoyed the video by the way

I am aware that managers do receive a list. I was speaking for us penny shoppers.. There is NO one list to go by due to the fact that all remodels are different. Thanks!

Keep checking the app! If the prices have went to 0.00 you may have missed it. How far away is it? I would try to scout it out if it’s not to far.

I went to a remodel where an employee said she couldn't find the remodel list & it made me laugh cause I happen to find it. I'm definitely gonna make sure I don't misplace it like she did 😊.

Went to one with the tags but the manager had no idea. Or atleast said she didn’t. It was one of the best ones. Went to another with no tags and it was SUPER good. So a clean store and orange tags aren’t always a not so good thing. It just depends. Enjoyed!

Scanning is essential! I would definitely recommend scanning as much as possible also there are different remodel groups on fb you can join to get some good info as well!

I have a question for you . i found 2 dollar general stores in the app underwarw core shoes shoe rack lamp shades sock are all 50% off but when i went to store no orange tags was on shelves. Did i find stores that are going to remodel?

Ok so I just found two stores in my state that are about to remodel. I spoke with one manager and he said the store is remodeling on Sunday the 8th he also stated that they're going to be open up until 5:00 on the 8th. Is that the Sunday that I go to shop for the items or do I go this coming Sunday??? Thank you in advance

The Sunday before they actually “remodel.” Not on the day they actually remodel

How do you keep those products on the list on your phone.? Dont they disappear when you start looking up products? I would love to go to a remodel but I have a bad back I have to wear patches just to penny shop. I would have to sit and rest and then get back at it.

Most of mine in my area have already remodeled. Remodels usually happen once or twice at each store( could happen more depending how old it is) Once they remodel they may not remodel again for a while.

Sunday is the day that the items penny out. Of course! You can always go on Monday and look for items that other Penny shoppers missed!!

I'm annoyed with the dg app showin 0.00 STILL.😒 I dunno if you tried it yet .. but, when you swipe RIGHT on those items on list... it actually tells ya "in stock" or "not eligible for pickup" 😏 Swipe LEFT ... and it deletes that item, so be careful!😅

It's not a "remodel" it's a "renovation". Nothing is done to the building itself. All they do is put in new checkout stands and a few new shelves and do some reorganizing. An actual "remodel" means that minor work is done to fix up and restyle the building itself and everything inside is new.

Not necessarily true.. a remodel can also just simply be that they are moving the aisles inside the store. But let's just go with your thought process.. it's not our fault that DOLLAR GENERAL is the ones that say it is a "remodel" in which that's the terminology that we use. Both the remodels that I had while working for DG had moved everything around while also adding all new coolers, and freezers. Considering that the whole floor plan of the store changes, I still believe it is a remodel. Or maybe a better term to use is "rearrange"

Great let's keep on telling people so they can all start lining up at 4 am fight to get in and destroy the stores or quit making stuff penny altogether. They've already been cutting way back and making things harder. Let's just keep telling the world so they stop it all together. Js.

Let me start by saying thankyou. Your explanation of DG Remodelso faris the easiesttounderstand. Q; In this video there are a lot of the orange 50% off tags on the shelves. Are those items that are RANDOMLY priced at 50 off,or are they listed in the sales ad/app as well? I ask because I have not penny shopped in over a year,I'm about to get back to it and I just recently noticed all these SG Remodel videos popping up like crazy. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I appreciate that compliment! The items that have the 50% off stickers will not show up in sale ad but will show up in the app if you were to scan them. Some stores do not put stickers up so I usually rely on my app to help me find a remodel.
