Silver is said to grow so its worth it for melt down if cheap, people don't want vintage items. I bet they throwsome away

Had to chime in I am in the US. I know there are a few people in the comments griping. I literally found a frame from the same manufacturer CARR. Paid $1 flipped it on EBay for $250 it took a month or two but still. They do literally still make them retail for 400 UK pounds which as said in the video is over $500 US. Someone must pay that amount the company is still in business. As for the weighted, hello, it is silver. Yes people will pay more cleaned up for the item but either way worse case scenario weighted is 11 to 12 percent silver by weight if it weighs 300 grams weighted stripped that’s still almost an ounce of sterling less the difference from pure still over $20. If it’s a weighted bowl or vase forget it, it can be anywhere from 25 to 50 percent silver by weight. I just got a sterling weighted trumpet vase for 5 bucks. it weighs 500 plus grams minimum 150 grams silver the whole vase portion above the base for nearly a foot is thick solid sterling. its well over a hundred dollars in silver and clearly more as an item. at any rate just figured i would concur that this video is quite accurate in its claims. but also shhhh stop telling them. i guess the good news is they don't seem to believe you. happy hunting out there.

Hahahah thanks so much for your detailed comment. Most people watching are in the us, I’m in Canada. Probably 80% of people that message me think I’m lying about this video. I assure them it’s real, and they think it’s a joke

The first A candle stick that size in video weights without cement is 1 1/3 of a ounce so roughly it's worth about 20 dollars I'm a huge collector of sterling silver

My la pierre kiddush cup I got for $2 weighs 16g and sells for 45 they aren't famous, its not light same with my candy dish. Actually, every weighted item I've bought still has more silver weight than most of my spoons

I just started collecting and looking for silver from thrift stores, asides from the sterling, 925, and lion symbol, is there other markings I should look for?

Look for 800 it means 80% silver. Sometimes Asian silver is marked “silver” those are the most common
