Thank you for the awesome video and explanation on the "non standard" automotive CAN signals. I love the advice to look for a value that is about what you would expect (800 RPM for example). Thanks to this video, I was able to easily locate the foot pedal position on a RAM 1500 (with the engine off). Then after starting the motor, the RPM was right where I expected it to be. Very helpful when there's 100s of CAN messages being transmitted by the chassis.

Does the software work with a Peak PCAN usb interface? I understand trc2csv exists, but is it possible to convert a trc capture to an asc or log format? For example, python-can logconvert doesn't seem to support trc.. the only way might be to do in multiple steps? 1) canlogconvert from trc to asc 2) logconvert to go from asc to log 3) Once it's in log format, it can be converted to csv using Log-CANverter

CAN Scanner tool is the tool for colleting and processing the data from the CAN bus. You can use our devicies for sending the data to the bus, our tool allows it but you need to know precisely what you are sending. Unfortunately we don't have the information about CAN Bus requests for the Mercedes vehicles but if you have the original diagnostic equipment you can use our device to "sniff" the data from it and than repeat the same requests with our device. It requires some time and efforts but after that you will have the detailed information about the CAN data and use only our devices in your projects. You will need more than just a CAN Scanner tool in this project, you will also need to use EasyLogic programming system to arrange your messages system. You can find the Easy Logic Creators tutorial on our KZfaq channel. Those two tools together provide you almost unlimited opportunities.

So i still have no clue where you see throttle and rpm. Highlighting this strongly, and not rushing over the calculation will make it more understandable. As right now i have watched the video and still have no clue. It is clear you understand the topic, but you have to assume the ones watching do not, so a more slow and explanatory approach would be preferred.
