AFFILIATE LINK DISCLOSURE: Friends, making a quality Loloho video is kind of like making sausage - only slightly more violent. It's a ridiculous amount of work that typically involves high dollar camera drops, blue-screen-of-death computer crashes, and at least one angry shotgun wielding old man shouting, “Hey! Get the hell outta here!” Once the final video is posted, rewards here on KZfaq are few and far between (unless you are a masochist who enjoys being verbally abused by anonymous trolls). One saving grace is our affiliate links. JUST CLICKING THESE LINKS HELPS TO SUPPORT OUR LITTLE SHOW. Think of this clicking as like tipping - except that it doesn't cost you anything extra! If you eventually make a purchase via one of our affiliate links, we will receive a few pennies (and Sean typically invests these pennies in duct tape and video gear). Again, it doesn't cost you anything to click these links, and it's a great help to us. As always, safe travels, happy camping, and THANK YOU!

I lived in my Volkswagen bus for 2 years across the US twice. I only went to a KOA campground one time. They wanted $45 a night for a parking spot with no hookups. I decided to stay at the Holiday inn for 30 bucks a night and had a nice dinner with the remainder. Never attempted to stay at one again.

One advantage of KOA is you can seen what sites/sizes are available and book online. Saves calls/discussions. Another pay club is Boondockers Welcome. You pay a fee for the club but the parking is free.

When you in a town you can look for a fairgrounds as they usually are inexpensive and full hookups the one in my town is 25 a night for 30 amp and 30 for 50 am plus sewer

I love going camping. I’ve been doing it my whole life, since my Parents took me, and my brother, when I was a young girl. I kind of miss the days when all you had was a map. Most of it was free, and you couldn’t even make reservations.

Thank you for a great overview of varied trip planning and campground tips. One additional tip, another benefit to a Good Sam's membership is that Flying J and Pilot stations give a 5 cent per gallon discount to Good Sam members.

I am a traveling RN (ICU/COVID) and I travel in a converted school bus. RV parks HATE my rig. Lol! I am also told owners of older rigs can struggle to find an RV park that will accept them. I have had good luck/experience finding options at county fairgrounds. No luxury, but definitely will do for over nights. I stay in them for weeks at a time right now.

The fair grounds in Colville, WA saved us last fall when we had a sudden deep snow while we were camping on the west side of the state! We could not get in our driveway,so stayed there a week. They were so kind and helpful, but no water or dump because of the weather. We found a dump in a Kettle Falls Lake Roosevelt park and water at the fire station. No one else had water; everything was frozen very suddenly!
@movingforwardLDTH
@movingforwardLDTH 3 жыл бұрын
@@TheLakingc , I’ve never thought of fire stations as a resource for water. Have you done this in other towns/areas as well or was it more of an exception to the rule because everybody else’s water was frozen?

Very helpful information, thank you! I only have one camping season under my belt and would love to see a video about tips and tricks to traveling in inclement weather. Specifically, information about driving while pulling a travel trailer through wet and/or windy conditions. I live in an area of Wyoming where there is always (no exaggeration) wind or snow or both (even in the summer). It seems the weather across the country is getting stranger all the time, so I anticipate running in to more situations where driving/towing skills will come in handy. You two are the best! Soooooo... it has been a different experience when the intention was to be quietly away from people and in nature. We love to boondock and have struggled to identify exactly where the BLM lands are. We have caught on to how the environment of camping at the National Parks has changed and how it works.... we are just very spontaneous people so it is a challenge to plan the spontaneous camping experiences.
