How to find second/third highest salary of an Employee from Employee Table using SQL Query?

if we use rank() ranking numbers will be skipped when there are employees with same salary. Ex : there are two employees with 3rd highest salary then rank 4 will be skipped and next rank will be 5. And we can't get the 4th highest salary. dense_rank() will be better option as the ranking numbers will not be skipped.
