How to find Slope by different methods

This video shows how to find the slope by different methods. Slope can be defined as the ratio of rise to run. There are two methods discussed in this video that how to find slope, one is percentage method and other one is degree method. In this lecture, we also discussed the method of reading the given slope in any drawing.

Many many thanks sir, i am very happy after showing your this (slope calculation video). Before showing your video, i sawed 5 videos for slope calculations, but all were too much confusing. There was not basic concepts in all five videos. You explained very basic fundamentals in very short. Again Thanks.

@@civilengineering94 sir as you told slope is always rise/run, My question is if the given slope of road embankment is 2:1, then as per slope formula, 2 is rise and 1 is run, it it right or wrong.?

i follow it till the very end I can not work out the you get 26,5 degree. what did you do in last step to get that answer

Press SHIFT before ‘tan’ [of 0.5] on your calculator (which is inverse tan) and you will get this 26.5 degrees.

It is tan inverse.we have to use tan inverse because we want to find the angle

Just do the shot on both sides from point a to b subtract that divide it by the footage and multiply By 100 for percentage
